Alright, I've been skimming this place and there seems to be some confusion on how to clone. This guide is here to clarify.

~Take the pokémon you want to clone, and go into the GTS

~Deposit the sucker, making it as hard to trade for as possible*

~Watch the little loading clock on the bottom right hand corner of the top screen. Here's where it gets tricky. You need to shut off your DS right before the cutscene. Typically this is between 7 and 8 turns, but it could be less, it could be more. I've had turns go past 10 before. The best way to figure out when to shut your DS off is to experiment with a pokémon you don't care about. Count the number of turns a few times, find the average, and use that.

~The first hint of potential success is that you receive a blue screen saying your data is corrupted. Don't worry, D/P uses a 2 file saving system, so your data won't be deleted.

~When your game reloads, you will probably be standing outside of the GTS in front of the receptionist. I have cloned and been walking out of the GTS, but more often I end up already behind the counter. Ideally you should have your pokémon still in your party, and the clone still deposited in the GTS. Simply go back into the GTS and withdraw your pokémon.

*How to take the risk out of cloning

    ~Always search for Level 100

~Never ask for legends, hackers always have those, obscure pre-evos are best. I use diglett, although something useless like sunkern would be an excellent choice too.

~To eliminate the risk further, specify gender. So obviously don't use genderless or single gender pokémon

Note: The cloning glitch can evolve pokémon that must be traded to evolve, i.e. kadabra, porygon2, etc.
Simply deposit the pokémon that needs be cloned while holding it's evo item, if necessary. If the clone is successful, when you withdraw your GTS pokémon, it should evolve. I've also heard this works if you deposit a pokémon, trade over GTS, and then withdraw it. Have not tested the second method myself personally, but I am one of the first people to discover the evolution by cloning.

I tried to clone my shiny tyroge but i just can find the right place to close the power...
