So, my cousin dared me to make a team of pokemon he thought looked stupid/outclassed by too many other things and use it on NetBattle. So, I told him to choose the pokemon, and I made the team. He's kinda slow, as he said Skarm was outclassed by Cloyster. :D Anyways, here:

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ah.

    Regice @ Leftovers
    Trait: Clear Body
    EVs: 204 HP / 252 Def / 52 SAtk
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Ice Beam
    - Psych Up
    - Rest
    - Thunder
*Yeah, I like this as a lead.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ah.

    Houndoom (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EVs: 176 Atk / 184 Spd / 148 SAtk
    Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
    - Hidden Power [Grass]
    - Overheat
    - Shadow Ball
    - Sludge Bomb
*Cool, I guess...I wanted it to be a mixed sweeper. Should it have a Lonely nature?

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ah.

    Venusaur (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Overgrow
    EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 54 Spd / 84 SAtk / 56 SDef
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Hidden Power [Fire]
    - Leech Seed
    - Razor Leaf
    - Sleep Powder
    *So...I stole this from Smogon.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ah.

    Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Marvel Scale
    EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 20 Spd / 24 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    - Surf
    - Toxic
    *Yeah...

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ah.

    Flygon (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Def / 156 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Rock Slide
    - Screech
    - Substitute
*Um, don't really know how to use Flygon, but lots of people recommend this set.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ah.

    Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Keen Eye
    EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 Spd
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Hidden Power [Flying]
    - Spikes
    - Taunt
    - Whirlwind
*Needed a PHazer, physical wall, and Spiker...so why not this? I couldn't decide on a set to use though.

So, yeah, it's kinda choppy, but that's what I have to work with. I'm kinda iffy on what kind of Flygon to use, and lots of people say "ScreechGon" works well with Spikes. And my EVs probably need work, I've been using nothing but Mono-CB teams lately.

Lovely, thoug consider dropping some of that Defense for SAtk. Maybe even a few Speed EVs if you're interested in outrunning Swampert or Donphan.

    Houndoom (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Early Bird
    EVs: 176 Atk / 184 Spd / 148 SAtk
    Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)

    - Overheat

It doesn't work that well with a Choice Band, and even then it's not much of a mixed Sweeper without STAB. Just use Crunch, Fire Blast/Flamethrower/Overheat, Hidden Power Ice or Grass, and Pursuit or Wi
    ll-o-Wisp

    Venusaur (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Overgrow
    EVs: 252 HP / 22 Atk / 64 Def / 32 Spd / 84 SAtk / 56 SDef
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Hidden Power [Fire]
    - Leech Seed
    - Razor Leaf
    - Sleep Powder

You weren't really doing anything with the EVs there. The HP and Speed are fine, just make sure if you add any Defense, aim for 222-230 stat total. If not, you might as well dump that into SAtk or SDef

    Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Marvel Scale
    EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 20 Spd / 24 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk
    - Surf
    - Toxic
    *Yeah...

Those SDef EVs are wasted. Put them into SAtk IMO.

    Flygon (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Def / 156 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Rock Slide
    - Screech
    - Substitute
*Um, don't really know how to use Flygon, but lots of people recommend this set.

While screechgon works well to an extent after the battle has dragged on a while, if you ever ask me, it takes too long to set up. I prefer Fire Blast over screech, but that's your choice

    Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Keen Eye
    EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 Spd
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Hidden Power [Flying]
    - Spikes
    - Taunt
    - Whirlwind
*Needed a PHazer, physical wall, and Spiker...so why not this? I couldn't decide on a set to use though.

You aren't outrunning anything threatening enough to Taunt to your team, and adding the necessary EVs would take away from Skarm's defensive prowess, which you need at the moment. Just use Substitute or Rest over Taunt.

Well, for one, if these are the pokemon your friend thinks are "outclassed," he's an idiot. Plain and Simple.

Second, I can see Tyranitar easily rampaging through the team (Flygon can't take too many of Tyranitar's DD'd Rock Slides, and Milotic can only 2HKO while Tyranitar is probably doing the same, though you probably won't see this in effect until later in the match). You could remedy that by replacing Milotic or Flygon with Swampert or Suicune, both who can cover Aerodactyl (Another slight long term problem) alot easier than either of the two.

After that, it's just the standard Heracross problem thats easily overlooked, with Skarm being the only true counter taking a hard hit from a CBd Brick Break of Focus Punch. Salamence or Gyarados might be the cure for that, but it might throw off the balance of the team and add some unwanted weaknesses. I'll let you decide on that.

Other than that, it's really not a bad OU team, it just has problems later in the game, especially when Spikes are laid out and Zapdos starts to pile on damage. Consider messing around with guys like Claydol and Dusclops on your teams.

    Ok, thanks.

Does Flygon with EQ/RS/Sub/FB have the same EVs as the Flygon I have now? The Skarm I originally used had 202 Speed iirc, so that it could taunt DDTar before it could Taunt me (does that even work?). I honestly don't see Claydol doing much, other than blocking EQ and Electric attacks. I'll consider Clops though, I could volley between it and Skarm to better protect myself against Hera.

I honestly don't know how those SDef EVs got there...I specifically remember putting them in SAtk.

Claydol's a pretty good defensive Pokemon along with being able to rapid spin Spikes away. ;) Dusclops can also block Rapid Spin to keep your spikes in.

    Superkid is correct.

Screechgon and SubFlygon generally have the same EVs, though I'd use more HP.

I don't really see what Claydol could go over. I use Houndoom the least, mainly because it is so frail, and it doesnt' help me much. It help with Gengar a bit, but that's it, really. Well, it absorbs Fire attacks, too (I forgot to change the trait when I posted this). Claydol doesn't really do anything to Hera either, unless I use Psychic. I'm leaning towards Dusclops.

I didn't really mean Dusclops and Claydol for this specific team. I meant experiment with them on other teams, so you can learn the significance of spinning away spikes and blocking spinners from blowing away yours.

Don't worry, I know how important getting rid of Spikes and protecting my Spikes from being blown away is. I just misinterpreted what you said, as I thought were you referring to this team. It was just a case of misunderstanding. :)
