5th Gen Animated Sprites

So we got the anticipated animated sprites in B2W2 but the difference this time is by the looks of things not only Gym Leaders are animated but also trainers!

You can't really see it from that image alone but if you watch the trailer at the official website you'll notice how she reaches for the Pokéball. This is interesting because it's a first meaning no other games have done this on ordinary trainers which brings me to the question do you think this trend will be followed in future games?

I thought that was a nice addition, even if we only see trainer sprites for a few seconds in each battle, and I wouldn't mind if it were carried over to future games.

I suspected they'd add animations for other important trainers (like Gym Leaders), but seeing all the trainers animated is great. And, is it just me, or does it seem like it's a similar sort of animation to the Pokemon, rather than the static frames we got in B/W?

I also see it, as the female clerk first seems to drop something then gets down lower to retrieve it...getting into the pose in BW shortly before the battle.

I think it's a great new feature, I was really bugged that only three people in the originals had animated battle sprites.

It's a nice addition and I think they'll keep it up as long as they keep this format for the games and don't move on to something like 3D for everything.
