anime bans and cuts (abc)

    you can talk about any animes that have cut/banned parts/episodes/etc.

    do you think the porygon soldier episode(the one that gave 100s of thousands japanese kids seizures) should be remastered and aired again?
     
    I don't think so, it doesn't hurt the plot any, and most of the American voice actors wont dub it, because of the emotional suffering it caused. I think they should show the episode where ash caught all the tauros, missing that one really messed me up. I went on for months wondering where those guys all came from.
     
    it says that the 2nd safari zone episode was banned because of the park ranger pointing a gun too many times. what about other shows like dbz, or looney tunes. they all have people shooting people. so i thought that was stupid.
    (^-^; japan seems to have a more mature audience i guess)

    I would like Porygon to be edited and shown(at least on DVD)


    I have the original version that was taped the same day it aired


    its the only time they explain the Pokeball Transport system and its where Team Rocket is almost sealed up forever in a bug hole(cyberspace broken up by antivirus) they could have died
     
    on DBZ, when freiza blows up krillin, funimation took out the part where you can see his body expanding and exploding. i thought that was pretty stupid. one second, krillin is in the air, the next, there's an explosion
     
    I wish they'd play that Porygon one.. but I see where they're coming from. x_x

    I could go on and on about anime cuts. o_o But I won't right now...

    i don't think funimation's gonna dub the eps they skipped. *ignores cartoonnetwork, and tunes to ytv*. they started in the middle of the DragonballGT, without a lot of clues as to how they're on the robot planet

    in the spanish version of that episode they do show him blow up and everything
     
    They have to show the banned episodes sometimes. C'mon look at other cartoons.. They go crazy with guns and swords.

    Funimation will redub those episodes(Saiyan and Namek Sagas) since Pioneer's license is done. They will release the uncut DVDs sometime.

    I think they SHOULD air Princess VS Princess and The Ice Cave.

    And give a clear reason why they cut "me" out in the 10th epi of Advanced Generation. "アゲンハントの かれいバトル" ("Agehanto no karei battle", Beautifly's magnificent battle/All things bright and Beautifly.)

    Or else, I'll dash straight to kill that Carole Boston Weatherford!!

    I've seen a fansub of the full porygon episode. All that red/green flashing didn't caused any problem to me, I only find it very annoying. But I could understand why 4Kids would want to bad the episode.
    Banning the dratini episode is stupid. Pokemon isn't the first anime/cartoon who has guns in it and certainly will not be the last. Looney Tunes are IMO waaay more violent than that single episode of Dratini. Coyote sometimes has enough equipment to start a small war!
