Um...keep on training?
When a Pokemon's level become pretty high, the experience needed also increases. Its like this: A Level 2 Bulbasaur needs only 60 exp points to level up while a Level 90 Venusaur needs about 20,000 exp points to level up.

Elite 4? lol That's how I'm leveling my Drako/Salamence. Currently lvl84. He sweeps the E4 by himself, so I just keep running him through there. Very good and easy exp.

Another option that isn't always as reliable but could be faster (did that make sense?) . . . zigzagoon. If I wanna lvl a poke' fast I grab 5 zigzagoon and a random poke' from my party then kill the lvl2 stuff right outside my house, easy kills. I usually check the zigzagoon after every 2-4 kills, and b/c of their ability they sometimes have an item. It's not always a rare candy but you can eventually build up your supply, then just feed them to whoever you wanna lvl.
