2nd Gen anybody else suck at link battling like me? lol

    i remember on red/blue battling a friend who lived near mine constantly, and he always beat me. i think i won once or twice, but i think i can count that i lost about 15-20 times against him. i stank :( didnt know what i was doing wrong. AND most times we were at the same level! i hope i can correct this and actually win something when it comes to D/P battling. :P

    anybody else have such a bad record as me?
     
    No, actually.

    My loss:win ratio was atleast 3:5.

    The guy I normally battled didn't have a Mewtwo like me, though. :P
     
    It really does matter if you EV train you team or not


    If you want to get an edge and beat your mate, I strongly consider doing some research into EV training and movesets.

    I know there are some really well written help on serebii.

    I only ever competed against other humans on Blue. I havent battled anybody on any of the other generations, due to availabilities. That and also everybody had apparantly 'grown out' of playing the games. When I know they were secretley hiding their Poke stash in their sock draws ;)

    I will definitley try out the EV training thing when I get FR/LG and D/P seeing as its essential for the battling against other people. Is there way of keepinmg track of how your EV levels are?

    I know this is an irrelevant question to the thread, but it's something I would like to know. How many characters can you have for your trainer name on D/P? I remember only being able to fit about 6-7 on the games I had. And also, can you have more than one saved game on D/P this time?

    My friend used to beat me on Ruby/Sapphire, but to cheer me up, I remember his starter had a type-advantage on mind and he started his game before me.
     
    I always lost to my younger brother in a link battle(R/B/Y) but my brother always loses in G/S/C.... I don't know why but I think I'm better at the metal gens. than my brother..........
