Anyone know if YouTube switches to streaming when entering fullscreen mode?

I'm a cheapo and don't really buy music that often, so a lot of the time I'll load up a song and just replay it a few times before loading up a different video. I've noticed that I can replay the video indefinitely, so long as I don't refresh the page, regardless of my internet connection (it isn't really that stable). When I switch to fullscreen, though, even if the video has already been loaded up, if my internet connection drops the video will crash and cut to a black screen and I have to exit out of fullscreen and refresh the page.

I dunno what caused it and wondered if anyone might have an idea. I use Chrome.

YouTube is always buffering/streaming whether in full screen or not. Whenever you reload the video (either by pressing play again, refreshing, or going into full screen), the video will rebuffer.

Hmm. I get that it rebuffers when refreshing or going fullscreen, but I haven't noticed any rebuffer when I click play again. Multiple times I've lost my connection while a video was fully loaded and hit replay, with no internet connection, and it replayed the video.

    Thanks for the response!
