4th Gen are legends what they are

I feel like remaking another idea

let me give you some insight.
The true legends as enigmatic as they are have a beginning

--->arceus (mew somewhere there)--->dialga,palkia--->the little pixie trio--->???

now, the question marks are all the other legends like the birds, dogs e.t.c.
but are they really legends?
think about it, maybye they are just normal pokemon with exagerated storylines

for example-
darkrais power really isnt that great. I mean, dont some other pokemon have moves like dream eater

and in the case of the birds and the dogs, who gave them that much ancestry. if you open your eyes to the truth, they arent that great

Uhm, no, its not.

It's clearly better than "other" pokemon that aren't legendary.

Look at its speed. It can easily outrun opponents to activate darkvoid + bad dreams, then proceed to sweep. Putting two opponents to sleep at once = legendary.

Some legendaries such as Cresselia and Darkrai are unknown to most people.

The birds, dogs, ecteria don't have as much power as the Pokemon dieties Arceus, Azelf, Mespirit, Uxie, Mew, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. I would assume they would be more like guardians of nature, like how Ho-Oh protects life, Lugia is the guardian of the sea, and the like.

Darkrai is uber. That means it's banned from standard play. Darkrai is much more powerful than the fairies, Cresselia, and a couple of other legendaries.

Thats one of the logics behind legendary pokemon. If you want some hard hitting wonder of a monster to fight with I dont think you should be playing pokemon. Legendaries are to be pokemon of the same types as ones already seen in the wild, but to have a small increase in stats. They can't be that much greater! Then what fun would it be to own one and just slaughter other pokemon. The thing that makes them legendaries is the legends behind them, and the fact that when working in a one world dynamic there is only one of each legendary in existence.

Plus, most legendaries learn an original move, that matches their abilities and story behind their existence.

have you caught a darkrai?

Yes.

I have 2 event darkrais.

And theyre damn near hard to beat in the OU tier. It's definitely a legendary. But this isnt about darkrai.

To put it this way:

All legendaries you can only get one of each, in each game (if that) - without the use of a cheating device.. All others you can breed.

Yea... Take a look at what's currently in the "Uber" tiers. There's a reason they're banned from standard play (OU/BL, most of the time).

The only proof we have with that, are with the legendary birds (excluding Ho-Oh), the dogs (I think...), the Regis, and Celebi.

Of course, just because they're legends doesn't mean they're good (Entei.). And vice versa- just because they suck doesn't mean they're not Legends.

Ah, I see what you are trying to say, at least I think I do. Your personal theory is that there are more than one of each of the legendary pokemon. This being said this topic for you is more of a philosophical debate about pokemon. Odd, but also a fun conversation to be had. So, what are your theories as to where the others might exist and why those that live in the pokemon world only believe there is one of each?

firstly, lets believe that all pokemon games are in one world

then why do the same legends aper in differnt places
e.g. in mystery dungeon

also in pokemon heroes, latios had a father who was also a latios

I suppose that would make sense. It always bugged me in Movie 8 (yes, bringing the series into this) how Ash said "a Mew", as though there were multiple Mews, rather than just "Mew".

I believe there was an episode featuring Lugia and its baby, showing that there are more than one Lugia. The baby Lugia was named Silver by some kid.

Just to clear things up, Legendary isn't a word that shows strength. Only the tiers classify pokemon by their potential strength, Legendary isn't (take a look at Rotom).

How exactly isn't Darkrai great though? It has Dark Void, which sleeps both opponents, and induces Bad Dreams to them. Then it can pretty much sweep the floor.

rayquaza can learn extremespeed, outrage, fly and most of the moves which are common to pokemon. he just has exaggerated power. cresselia isn't as strong as heatran or arceus but she still pwns in the ou metagame. never used her though so ye, can't really say too much.
