    I was thinking of buying the game for ds on a website (not sure if linking it will be allowed)

    I was wondering, is this game really worth the money?

    What are your opinions?

    Of course they're worth money. These games are the single thing that many Pokemon fans have been wishing for. Buy them if you can.

    But I'd wait for the English release.

    Either that or a translated ROM will do.

    I think every RPG Pokemon game that you as a trainer needs to capture all of the Pokemon are worth buying

    I know someone who got the rom translated. It looks better than anything I've seen before.

    I'm only new to the pokecommunity. i have hacked roms for a while, although an ameteur, and also have played the games for eight years.

    The games are totally worth it.
    If you're unsure you can watch videos of the game on Youtube to see the graphical improvements.

    Also, Pokethlon>Pokemon Contests
    I've have links to PlayAsia in my signature if you want to buy them from there. If you live in the US NCSX is a good place to shop. You'll probably get your game faster if you order from them, but its about $10 more expensive.
     
    Absolutely worth it. Remakes of Gold and Silver,excellent new features. It's too amazing and hard to believe that you can even ask a question like this.

    Of course it's worth the money! I mean, almost everyone likes the G/C/C Gen, so who wouldn't like this game?
     
    Don't think this thread is really needed - you can probably see for yourself whether people think of it through posts in other topics, such as the 'favourite things' thread and all - also there are opinions a google search away and reviews, I'd imagine (even if it's only been done of the Japanese version so far, obviously, you can still get some ideas out of some of them) - and ultimately you may end up having a different opinion of the game.

    The fact they were all sold out by 2 days may be an indicator as well...

    Anyways, don't see much more discussion coming from this thread - naysayers can have their complaints in the Complaints thread anyway and we don't need something for people to say 'yes' only in a few more words, espcially considering you are asking this question in a Pokemon forum so there'll be bias. =P Basically if you like Pokemon games, this should be pretty much worth the money. (And if you're considering buying the Japanese version now, consider if you know Japanese/care about understanding things or not and whether you can wait have a year minimum for these games or not, as that'd be up to you in that case).
