Have you ever thought about a music artist's side or second project being better than what their career is mainly based on or what they're most famous for?
Outside of a certain few genres, most artists are obviously just involved in one band or they're just solo.
In case I'm not getting what I mean, some examples would be -
Damon Albarn (Blur first project, Gorillaz could be considered as a side or second project given how Blur haven't done much since the inception of Gorillaz)
Green Day (side projects like foxboro hot tubs/the network)
Gallagher Brothers (NG's High Flying Birds and Beady Eye after Oasis broke up ofc)
Sonny Moore (Obviously Skrillex considered his main project but he was previously in From First To Last and minor solo career outside of each)
Maybe even the Farro brothers...
Anyway, the point is have you ever went against the norm in terms of like an artist's project?
For me, I personally prefer Wings over The Beatles which would tend to be a massive shock for a lot of people. The more I listen to High Flying Birds, I begin to prefer them over Oasis too.
