    [PokeCommunity.com] Assassin's Creed 3 ReDa: Oct 30th (Trailer Insider!)

GDC was today, and with it came a lot of information. One of the biggest things shown was a shiny new trailer for Assassin's Creed 3, which is set to launch October 31st, 2012.
It's been in development for the past 3 years now by nearly twice the staff of Ubisoft's normal team working on an AC title.

Also, for Nintendo Fanboys such as myself you may be interested in knowing that this game has been confired for the Wii U by Ubisoft themselves.

    Trailer:

    DIZGUSS
EDIT: Got the release date wrong in the title. -_-

I love the assassins creed games. I am still yet to get AC:Revelations. Will have to get it asap now. I just hate the online stuff. Online assassins creed has never interested me. Might even rebuy Brother hood for ps3 as I got it on 360 before and hated the control set up. Would love to try it on PS3 where I played all the others.

Glad to see it is a direct AC3 aswell. rather than Brotherhood and Revelations but I am curious as to where it leaves them games in terms of time line.

The trailer looks pretty good but I did want to see the hidden blade being used again tbh. But yeah I'll be picking this up when it comes out regardless.

It looks horrible in comparison to the past two. I have no interest in the setting, especially since there were so many other attractive and more interesting places and times they could have used. The game just looks... lifeless. Definitely won't be a day one buy for me, particularly if the gameplay trailers don't end up looking very good.

Where did Morkula's comment go? :O

There's a few more bits of info regarding the game, such as the setting:

…spans the Revolutionary War, taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington's Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army.

    the Wii U controller use:

The touch screen will be used for the game's 'Eagle Vision' and will also display a persistent map. Fast-switching weapons will also be handled with the touch screen and there will be an interactive database to browse through. Finally, some puzzles will be implemented, which you'll have to solve using the touch screen.

They've also claimed that this is the biggest AC game yet, it will have DLC (yuck), and it features online co-op.

I'm pretty apprehensive about this one as well. I get the feeling that the towns wont be as vast as cities from past AC titles. I'll wait until there's some more info before I ultimately decided whether or not I want to dish out the money for it myself.

I trust that they'll do a good job. My concern is whether or not the PC version will release on time. Considering the number of possible settings, I daresay they have a good reason to use this one. I just wonder how they're going to manage traversing the treetops. Just Cause 2 did this effectively, but you needed a grapple gun, parachute and tight crosshair.

Ah yeah, I'm a bit concerned that the PC version will come at a later date as well.

Some very interesting information about AC3:
Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin's Creed 3 will feature a seasons system that will impact gameplay. For example, "heavy snow and ice will block paths in winter and bog down movement". But seeing as you're an awesome assassin, this is an advantage. You'll be able to "use the trees to move through the environment" (as shown in the trailer) and that is something you can use over the enemy. I'd assume, however, there are advantages and disadvantages to each season.

There are also historical events that will take place in the game, including the Boston Massacre, the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Siege of Boston, the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, and the Great Fire of 1776 in New York.

I like the idea of changing seasons and using them to your advantage.
