Autobiography

Silence overwhelms
Shadows cover all
My mind is tranquil,
The calm before the storm

Unorthodox is my fear
My own mind questions me
Is this all part of me,
This feeling, unfamiliar

Like bolts from the sky
The new emotion bursts through
Destroying all I built,
All I live for

Silence creeps in
Shadows appear
Again it is happening,
My greatest fear

Rising hot,
Boiling
I stop it at the surface
My last chance

Overcome by emotion
Hate is my sin
Anger my plague,
Wipe my slate clean


It all starts again

It's a pretty good poem, I enjoyed it. My problem is, it's really hard to get much out of it, just because your word choices could have been better. It's obvious that you were passionate about this subject, but just what this subject is, it's hard to tell. One could assume, but you should never have to assume when reading poetry, at least not this much.

But, again, it was a good poem.

It certainly shows emotion, but......it's lacking somewhere...can't put my finger on it.....but overall, not bad.
