Hi there!
I joined up some time ago but haven't really been active as I've mostly read up on tutorials, watched videos and been trying out some hack tools (the Pokemon Game Editor is really useful) from the site. I've long had plans for making a hack of my own and now the time has finally come!
My idea has the basic 8 gyms and the Pokémon League, but instead of a big gang as the so called "bad guys" I'm going to have a smaller group with say 5-7 powerful trainers that you run into from time to time. I'm using FireRed or more exactly the "Pokémon Legend of Fenju" as a base as i simply fell in love with the icy tiles and the desert tiles, whoever made it, great job, let me know so I can give credit if i ever release this game.
Mapping is going great so far and scipting is not that hard either, my biggest issue maybe are the sprites, so I may be seeking help somewhere in the future with that.
