I have spent the last couple of days making my own sets out of boredom.. Though working without Photoshop is hard D:
But alas; I have five to show for now.

    Band members-

    Gerard Way- My Chemical Romance

(Though I didn't do too good of a job on this one)

    Storm- The Medic Droid

This one turned out better than I expected.

... <3 Another one that turned out better than expected.

Just a quickie.. Didn't add any gradient.

    Benjamin Kowalewicz- Billy Talent

Added a gradient to this one, originally it was black and white.

Since I am rather new to this, constructive criticism is allowed. The sites I used to make these are Snipshot for cropping images for icons, and Lunapic for the gradients.

First things first. You need to get some brushes.

Borders tend to make everything look better.

That's really all I can tell you cause all you did was put gradients on them, there's not much I can do to help you get better :/
Just try putting some brushes on a banner and then I can help you~

Quite like the photography of the MCR banner… text would really enhance the image.
I also like the perspective of Adam Gontier.
They seem a little plain… and normal looking… but most of the best graphics are the ones that look normal… especially fashion type photography… I really do like the MCR banner oO

    People actually like them?

But, once I am done downloading a trial version of CS2 Photoshop, I will get a few good brushes, to make the banners better. I could try with Gimp too.

But thanks for the comments/suggestions. They truly are appreciated~

They're pretty good for a beginner. You should download so brushes, those would really help. Also, a few tutorials might be handy.

    Keep it up,
    Motsuko
