[D_A] Since the battle logs forum is getting deleted soon I thought it would be nice to put past logs here. This thread is where past battle logs will be moved for your viewing pleasure to comment on, most of the good ones are here so if you wanna sift through them. The comments are a bit messed up and not in order but oh well lol.
Ill link to each log later individually.
Sorry this is bit of a mess. XDD

G'day Pokécommunity, Beachy here!
Chya, so due to the recent addition of the Battle Logs Sub-forum, I decided to go fishing through my laptop to find some interesting battles to display to the PC public. Think I found a good one, so here goes...
About two weeks ago, I was yet again surfing around the forums. Also at the time taking a leave from shoddy, as battling became too much of an addiction. Though one late night... Kagami, otherwise known as Alex, stopped by my fan club and wondered wether I was up for a "BeachBrawl" over on shoddy. Which was quite surprising since in my Pokécommunity lifetime I had never seen him in the Pokémon Strategies & Movesets forum before. Accepting his request we both headed on shoddy toBEACHBRAWL!!11! battle.
I was eager to get in the swing of battling again, and my competitive fire began to fuel. Not only that, I had absolutely no clue how experienced Alex was. As far as I've seen, he's never in S&M, never heard him talk about competitive play, and somewhat rare to even see him outside of member fanclubs and misc. sections. So basically, assuming he isn't around S&M much, my fire raged with overwhelming confidence for the match. Which, for me, can usually be my worst enemy. XD
Before we get the ball rolling, I think it would be nice to know the team ahead of time to get you a better sense into my mind and play during the battle.
BeachBoy's Team

..................................................
As most of you know I'm an offensive kinda guy, full out berserker. So no surprise that this team settles with little walling and heavy powerhouse offense, pretty easy to see that just looking at this line up. ;D
Also, Kagami's team shall be secret here. So really, your viewing the battle just like me.
Ladder system rules apply in this battle, here's the quick run down.
..................................................
Kagami sent out Gyarados!
BeachBoy sent out Gyarados!
Equally matched, both monsters fiercely rush their ability of force, intimidate, down upon each other.
...........
Okay, the match has begun, first off, it's even. Dos on Dos, meaning Kagami must have some skill in him to use one of the more effective leads in today's metagame. Mmmm, I don't like the chances of stone edges, and he may switch himself. So I'll go to swampert as gyarados can't touch him, and if he dragon dances, my mud puppy can rawr the beast. Plus, my team is relient on getting rocks in early, and especially in this match as I know he has a gyarados.
...........
BeachBoy switched in Swampert.
Gyarados used Stone Edge. (not very effective.)
Swampert lost 7% of its health.
A part of an apple heals Swampert a tad.
---
Swampert .// 99%
---
...........
As expected, he sheers out the stones. Swampert, my only true wall, wasn't damaged much... So pert should easily get rocks in, Kagami will probably switch if he has skill, as he's at a disadvantage here. Knowing the switch is coming, rocks have the perfect set up, and so gyarados won't like his next entry against me.
...........
Kagami switched in Skarmory.
Swampert used Stealth Rock.
Dark stones cover around Kagumi's team.
Pert's apple heals it perfectly.
...........
Perfect! Have the rocks up and cover some security for his leviathan later on. Pert against Skarmory, usually hydro pump swamperts can 2HKO skarmory. Though my swampert is different. I have Ice beam & Earthquake for the best type coverage in the game. So can't harm skarmory much. Mine as well switch out... ice beam won't harm it, and earthquake would erupt an LOL party. I think I'll bring in Salamence as skarmory could be a stealth rock version, rare yes, though mine as well get mence in for superior destruction. >D
...........
BeachBoy switched in Salamence.
Salamence's intimidate burns into Skarmory.
Skarmory used Spikes,
Spikes flew to the ground surrounding Salamence and the blue crew.
---
Skarmory .// - 1 attack
---
..........
Well not stealth rock version of course, but I like that it's only a spiker. Half my team is immune to ground, so spikes don't cause much of a problem. I still don't know him well enough yet, so I'll contain myself and go full force meteor berserk on him. Still take a nice size out of skarm. And if he decides to switch I'll still leave some type of dent. Specsmence is a beast, so time to let it rip.
..........
Salamence used Draco Meteor. (not very effective.)
Skarmory lost 73% of its health.
Salamence's special attack was harshly lowered.
Skarmory used Whirlwind.
BeachBoy switched in Swampert.
Spikes scar into swampert exterior bites it's health away.
A leftover apple restores Skarm and Pert a little bit.
---
Skarmory .// 33% .// - 1 attack
Swampert .// 94% .//

Well instead, he whirled me away. Gah, I should've fire blast'd that metal bird to bits, but when you see a gyarados and skarmory don't ever be surprised a heatran is close by. Oh well, pert - skarm matchup once again. Last time I switched to mence, so maybe he'll switch to something to deal with it like a garchomp. Mmmm, I'll stay safe and ice beam. I'm still unsure of his tactics at this point.
..........
Skarmory fueled itself back to health with Roost.
Swampert used Ice Beam. (not very effective.)
Skarmory lost 13% of its health.
Both of their granysmith apples play a role in healing them.
---
Skarmory .// 70% .// - 1 attack
Swampert .// 100%

Well, at least it gave skarm a small amount of damage. Though roost didn't help. This turn didn't help me.... Time to get this metal bird outta here and scout his team. >]
..........
Skarmory used Spikes.
Spikes continue to layer swampert's side of the field.
Swampert used BGAAAHHHHHH (rawr) (roar)
Kagami switched in Jolteon.
Teeth like stones bite into Jolteon.
---
Skarmory .// 64%
Jolteon .// 88%
---
..........
A jolteon ay? Dayum. Well jolteon spells hidden power grass all over it. Though... I still don't know Alex's play level yet. Losing swampert here wouldn't really hurt either, as I need to get these heavy hitters in here already. This stalling is bugging me deeply. Let's see some offense! >D Hmmmm.... he could predict I'm switching in fear of HP[grass] and then substitute. Mmmm, I'll earthquake this time. See where the dice rolls.
..........
Jolteon used Baton Pass.
Kagami switched in Skarmory.
Dark stones rip into Skarmory.
Swampert used Earthquake.
Skarmory laughs at the unaffected quake.
An apple refreshes Skarmory a small amount.
---
Skarmory .// 76%
Jolteon .// 88%

Another tough turn. Instead of a sub or hidden power grass, he baton passes. He probably was trying to scout me by predicting I would switch. Nice move. Also skarm is back and again I can't touch him. That bird is too annoying. He'll lay those spikes down a final time... So I should continue to phaze him and scout what other pokemon he has.
..........
Skarmory used Spikes.
A final layer of spikes scattered the field.
Swampert used RAWR!
Kagami switched in Gyarados.
Gyarados's presence glares into Swampert.
Black oynx rocks shred through his leviathan.

Gyarados .// 75%
Swampert .// 100% .// -1 attack

Okay just fine. Mmmm yeah, I'll take a unwanted fourth of health everytime I enter with lucario, heatran and swampert from here on out. Good thing that stones came to huant Gyarados, though it unfortuantely doesn't let me know anymore members of his team. I only have seen his Gyarados, Jolteon, and Skarmory. What else is he holding in the wings..... Swampert has, more then enough, filled his roll in this battle. Mine as well keep at it with him until he goes. I need an easy switch in, freeze hax could be nice as well. ;P
..........
Kagami switched in Skarmory.
Black cold stones fly though Skarmory.
Swampert used Ice Beam.
Skarmory lost 26% of its health.
Leftovers come in favor for Skarmory.
---
Skarmory .// 32%
Swampert .// 100% .// -1 attack

..........
Ice beam did well actually. Now skarmory is little in health, which is an excellent chance to get some heavy dose of offense hitter in.... or he could expect that and whirlwind. Argh, what the heck is he going to do! I'll roar... if he roosts he'll get a nice kudo but at least I can get in more scouting. Sheesh this is rare, I'm usually shreding people at this point... With all this offense I'm surprised I have yet to touch that score board.
..........
Skarmory lays down for a minute to recover with Roost.
Swampert used RAWR!
Kagami switched in Lucario.
Scard rocks barely bite into Lucario.
---
Lucario .// 97%
Skarmory .// 82%
---
..........
Mmmmmm, a lucario and a healthy skarmory. Lucario is so unpredictable first time out of the gate. Could be specsluke, could be SDluke, could be Mixluke (hehe) for all I know. He has a gyarados already for a physical threat, and jolteon as somewhat of a special. Makes more sense if this was Specsluke then... Mmmm he could attack, hurt me some and I could get some nice damage in. I'll earthquake to see how things go. Though he does have skarmory.... But I can't Ice beam, it would hurt luke less. Argh fine, quake the fool!
..........
Kagami switched in Skarmory.
Sharp stones dug into Skarmory.
Swampert used Earthquake. (doesn't affect Skarmory)
Leftovers kick in for the bird.
---
Skarmory .// 76%

..........
*headdesk* Gah, it's just not my day. Well outpredicted me there again. Well this swampert vs. skarmory match up doesn't boat well for me, so I mine as well switch to a powerhouse to get the ball rolling in my favor.
..........
BeachBoy switched in Salamence.
The dragons sheer image makes Skarmory scream. (like a chicken)
Skarmory used Whirlwind.
BeachBoy switched in Gengar.
Skarmory's leftovers refresh some health.
---
Skarmory .// 82% .// -1 attack
---
..........
Exactly the reason half of this team is immune to ground, spikes. I'm okay with the wind to gengar instead. Though again things get a bit hectic here in my head. The scenarios run throughout it like wild fire. Of course my gengar has thunderbolt, but it also has choice scarf, and what pokemon did we see earlier in this match? Jolteon. If I lock on jolteon I give Kagami not only a free turn, but an excellent chance to start some trouble if it carries Hidden power grass. So I'll hypnosis to not worry about jolteon...
..........
Gengar used Hypnosis.
Skarmory fell asleep! Zzzzzz
Leftovers help out skarmory some.
---
Skarmory .// 88% .// -1 attack .// sleep status

Stayed in, garh.... Well skarm is asleep, so now time to switch in some firepower to get things rolling in my favor.
..........
Kagami switched in Blissey. :O
Piercing rocks run into Blissey.
BeachBoy switched in Salamence.
The deep red wings make the pink blob huddle in fear.
A leftover apple replenishes Blissey.
---
Blissey .// 94% .// -1 attack

..........
This is where I wish I switched to lucario, mmm that would have been great. Anyway, Specsmence isn't a threat with that pink blob around, and I just changed from Mixmence to Specsmence too. =/ Blissey could stealth rock, ice beam, possibly thunderwave Mence. Swampert will take those just fine. So here comes mud puppy!
..........
BeachBoy switched in Swampert.
Spikes flew onto the mud beast inflicting pain.
Blissey used Aromatherapy.
Swampert's and Blissey's lunch restores their health.

So he heals the team, simple enough. Now Skarmory is free of sleep status he'll want to make it a Skarm/Pert match up once more. Aha, not this time bro! I could switch to heatran or rawr. I like scouting over Tran who would be walled by blissey anyways, so rawr it is!
..........
Kagami switched in Skarmory.
Pointy rocks flew into the metal chicken.
Swampert used RAWR!
Kagami switched in Infernape.

Infernape .// 88%

Exactly expected. Though Infernape, yet another versatile wall breaker, isn't very welcome with swampert. So far he seems to be thinking one step ahead, so I'll stay in and watch the nasty plot, earthquaking nape to a early exit.
..........
Infernape used Close Combat.
Swampert lost 42% of its health.
Infernape's defence was lowered.
Infernape's special defence was lowered.
Infernape's life orb enters in pain for Infernape.

Kagami's Infernape fainted.
Leftover's rescue swampert's mediocre health.

Well didn't Nasty Plot, but instead close combat'd. Finally touch the score board, and hopefully stay on the blue side the rest of the way. Now that he can switch anyone in, I expect skarmory to hit the scene, he obviously like the match up of Pert vs. Skarm, which in turn, I dislike. >.>
..........
Kagami switched in Skarmory.
Stones swirled into skarmory's armor.

Skarmory used Roost.

Review...
..................................................
We'll that's the game, I did not play up to my best level, and somehow came out with a W. I tried to play around with various formats for this log, and I hope this one did okay for you all. Looking back on this game it shows one main thing... Keep your game play & thoughts simple, that and/or know your opponent. I over thought many plays and mispredicted sometimes, that and Kagami read me like a book. It's unfortunate to say hax played "somewhat" of a factor in this battle, I wish it never happened, but ay that's the game. :/ Only that little window of chance at the end gave me the win....where I waited the perfect opportunity for lucario to come in for the win. Setting up a strategy in today's metagame is vital, I must say. Mine is stealth rocks, get the team in a flow of destruction, and berserk the opponent into submission. Though Kagami was open with stealth rocks early, he ruptured my flow, except when he didn't see that tiny window of opportunity that lucario had to come in on blissey's softboil. I really enjoyed this game, and I believe he did as well. Another point, bulky waters (gyarados & swampert) are absolute beasts! Heatran for me, didn't do to well but that sacrifice was a key part in the battle. I could of put him in on various matchups on skarmory, but didn't, which is regretable. On the other side, dang that metal chicken, my biggest problem in the game. Consistently walled me, and set up spikes with ease....
Another thing is, don't go get a drink in the middle of a battle, I'll admit I did during this just for a second, but that shoddy time just seems to fly away. XD
As I said before, the main thing I hope you possibly learned is don't over analyze the situation. Usually keep things simple and you can do better, by hitting the pure basics I touched the score board for the first time in this battle. Though in the heat of battle, it is quite easy to runs many things from your head, I clearly did that here, and messed up my flow. Secondly, have a plan for skarmbliss in your team, yes it may be an overused and many could say it's a "bad" pair, but they are effective against certian teams, simple as that. Which is the reason my Specsmence is a Mixmence now. ;D This team is doing well, I don't use it much these days, it has flaws, but boy can it hit that high note in chaos when it gets rolling. (Team: 29-8)
So remember kids, sheer offense is a lot more fun than stalling. *anti-pop shott'd*

Accepting his request we both headed on shoddy to
I was eager to get in the swing of battling again, and my competitive fire began to fuel.

Skarmory .// 33% .// - 1 attack

Well instead, he whirled me away. Gah, I should've fire blast'd that metal bird to bits, but when you see a gyarados and skarmory don't ever be surprised a heatran is close by. Oh well, pert - skarm matchup once again. Last time I switched to mence, so maybe he'll switch to something to deal with it like a garchomp. Mmmm, I'll stay safe and ice beam. I'm still unsure of his tactics at this point.
..........
Skarmory fueled itself back to health with Roost.
Swampert used Ice Beam. (not very effective.)

Skarmory .// 64%
Jolteon .// 88%

Kagami switched in Blissey. :O

Review...
..................................................
Credits & Thanks....
