Battle of the Shout Boxes!

Here's a brief description of each of them.

Saybox
Basically the best shout box ever until they introduced ads. It has a nice default theme and also lots of features.

Cbox
Not many features as the paid version but still pretty decent. It has many default styles to choose from.

Soapbox
A shout box that's not very well know. Though it looks very simple it's one of my favourites.

Had I been asked... a year ago, I would have been jumping up and down shouting "SayBox! SayBox!" but ever since they got so flippin ad happy, I haven't enjoyed much in terms of sayboxes.

Then again, I don't have many websites that would use one anyways. XD

I hate them, on sites noobs use them to advertise there sites and on forums they kill them, so you know what I voted.

Tried them once, but you'll always have spammers who try to ruin it. If you want to announce things use an announcement box, don't use a shoutbox

On one czech site (beware, if you aren't from Slovakia, Czech Republic, or at least Poland or Croatia, you have no chance to at least partly understand that language), there is a shoutbox for free which you can modify to fit the page's colors, it has the standard features and you can even send messages into the soutbox by SMS. It's good, I use it on my webpage, but you won't have any chance (those from countries not listed somewhere above) to make one, because you need to register and that's completely in czech language. But if you want a simple shoutbox, tell me and I'll translate the registration steps.

I use a chatterbox, its not pretty but it gets the job done.

I use them, they may have ads, spambots, and even more! I even know Faltzer got a CBox spammer from Little Paul and spammed PJN's cbox a little bit. Little Paul did most of it, while I secretly spammed his old one.

i use one we wrote ourself.. It works ok and is at least customizable to the site.. (sorry it's not available for others to use yet)

I've been spying on Faltzer(younger brother) and what he does online, and know almost everybody here on PC, if that answers your question Koroku. I'm also a member on the MMC.

In the end, I got rid of my Cbox because I couldn't deal with the spam. If you read my latest news post, I am quite disappointed in general by the internet at large.
