4th Gen battle tower rage?

    okay.

    here's what annoys me a tad -

    R/S - battle tower only.
    E - battle plaza thingy
    LG/FR - trainer tower thing..?
    D/P - ANOTHER BATTLE TOWER
    Pt/HG/SS - THE BATTLE FRONTIER

    why. just why did GameFreak already have the general idea for a battle park/frontier thing, but they chose instead to give us a battle TOWER in D/P? really. I mean, all the (other) new things in emerald were transferred into D/P, but the battle park/frontier thing...?

    anyone else having this rage?
     
    I suppose they did that so that the third version of the game would have an additional selling point to garner more sales - for instance with Platinum - few additions to what is otherwise a very similar plot and some fixes e.g. surfing speed would not sell too well, but suddenly an additional gaming mode that gives a heck of a lot more gametime to those interested in it is a rather significant addition! A number of people buy it solely for the frontier aspect in fact.

    Seems to be the typical thing they do anyways with it.
     
    It could be the money thing, or it could because they hadn't come up with the new battling concepts at the time of D/P's release. Which still boils down to money because they wanted to rush D/P to production instead of waiting until they had ideas for a "true" Frontier in those games.

    What really annoyed me, though, was how the Frontier in Platinum and in HG/SS was identical.
     
    I don't have that rage at all. There's a perfectly good reason for the Battle Frontier not in R/S/D/P. GF is saving the best parts (move tutors and Battle Frontier) of the video games for the third games (Emerald and Platinum).

    The identical Frontiers in Platinum and HGSS really irked me, too. :/

    But yeah, having a Battle Tower only was kinda stale. I never thought about it in the way of making more sales for Platinum, but it makes sense.
     
    crystal had a battle tower? wat?

    anyways, it makes sense, but it's still annoying and kinda, you know, boring. when I got diamond I was especially hopeful for the Battle Thing because I only had sapphire and I missed it altogether. I was dissapoint. :(
     
    Yeah, it's just to make a profit and more reason to buy Platinum. I had the same anger because I had only leafgreen, diamond, pearl,and ruby. But eventually I got Platinum for my Birthday. :|

    thats probably what he meant. He is pissed at the towers because of the trainers who are always cheap and probably for the fact you have to start again when you lose just 1 battle
