    Okay I guess the main things we need to decide are:

    -What kind of tour? Should we do what we normally do and just allow all formats and each win count as points?

    -Wifi tournament. Should we have one for wifi as well? I think wolf normally includes a separate tournament for wifi battles.
     
    re: format

    i think the free-for-all format that's been used for the past GT tourneys are the best way to go. we just have to incorporate an olympic theme into it.

    re: wifi tourney

    in previous GT tourneys, what we did was give more points to battles done over Wi-Fi because it's difficult to set up (you have to set a time and date etc). if we're going to stick with the free-for-all format then i think we should stick with this

    also i'm gonna do thread design 8D anything you'd like to see incorporated into the design?

    EDIT: i just thought of something cool! greek mythology themed challenges! we can award like a lot of points each for each challenge. something like this:

    (names and requisites are all temporary, we can think of better ones later 8))

    Zeus challenge
    Requisite: Win a battle where you used Thunder at least once.

    Poseidon challenge
    Requisite: Win a battle where you used Surf at least once.

    Hades challenge
    Requisite: Win a battle where you used Punishment at least once.

    Aphrodite challenge
    Requisite: Win a battle where you used Attract, Lovely Kiss, or Charm at least once.

    and etc. i think this would be cool! we could also make them daily! so much potential

    I love this idea so much! It brings something fresh instead of having a boring old generic tour :3 I do think one thing needs to be addressed- random battles. I think they should be allowed as always but maybe make them count for less points of have a limit on them? I just don't think it's super fair for someone to be able to spam randbats and win the tour.
     
    yeah i think we should just do the same thing we did last year, which i believe was to give 1 point to all random battle formats

    also we should probably come up with the challenges and awards. for awards, i was thinking of giving BP to the winner as well.

    1st place: 500 BP
    2nd place: 250 BP
    3rd Place: 100 BP
    Participant: 20 BP

    does that seem too much? haha
     
    Maybe BP, we could do a participation emblem or something.

    I think the thread should have a mascot or something so I was thinking maybe Thundurus?

    Information
    Just like in previous Get Together tournaments, you get points based on how many battles you win, losses do not matter! All you have to do is challenge and defeat another participant in the tournament. Simple right? Below is a chart of how the point system will work.

    Win a regular battle (OU, UU, Ubers, etc.)
    10 points

    Win a wifi battle
    15 points

    Win a random battle
    1 point

    Win a themed battle
    TBA
    *note: 1v1 formats do NOT count.

    All non-WiFi battles are to be done at our battle server. To access the battle server, click the "Look for a battle" button on the left side.

    To join, simply fill out this form:

    Once you have posted in the thread, you are all set to start collecting points. Battle Server usernames of the participants should be listed on the center box, so use that as a reference when asking for battles. Record your wins/loses in your application post or we will not count it. This is to reduce clutter and make tallying the points much easier on us. Indicate the name of your opponent, whether you won or lost, and what format you have battled in. As a precaution, save a replay of your battles and include them in your post (click "Share replay" after the battle is finished). A simple something like this should suffice:

    As the god of sky and thunder, Zeus has challenged you to win a battle using the mighty Electric-type Pokemon, Thundurus! Should you be able to finish his challenge, you will be awarded with 15 points!
    Hera's Challenge
    As the queen of the gods and the goddess of women, Hera has challenged you to win a battle using a female Gardevoir. She allows the use of your mega bracelet, should you be willing to do so. Should you be able to finish her challenge, you will be awarded with 15 points!
    Poseidon's Challenge
    As the god of the sea, Poseidon has challenged you to win a battle by harnessing the powers of the rain! Should you be able to finish his challenge, you will be awarded with 15 points!
    Hades' Challenge
