Before The Hedge
A prequel to Over the Hedge

Foreplay:
RJ and Stella are sitting by themselves in a cinema with 3D glasses, and they had just watched the ending of Over the Hedge in 3D.
Suddenly is RJ going to rewind the movie with a remote control, and Stella asks RJ "What's up with the movie?" and RJ says "I am going to take you back before the hedge events!"
Once upon a time before the hedge:
RJ was born in a forest by his two parents that he grew up with, but as he got elder was his parents killed in an accident under the harvest season.
A sad and homeless RJ were leaving his home, and he travelled around in the states without a real place to live by himself, and one year later was the raccoon ending his long journey in Illinois.
RJ had slept in trees, stolen food, ran away from big male dogs, scored female dogs, sailed with ferries, sneaked upon trains and stealing from candy machines.
In the evening was RJ sitting in a tree, and he spied on the families and their TV sets and radios, as he sat there and felt in love with movies, pop music and ads about food.
RJ had ended up by a highway a late spring evening, and it was lying near a wood and a newly build suburb, where he would find a new family later on.
Verne the turtle lived with his so called family in the wood, and he had been scared of humans since many human kids had teased him as he was younger.
There in the wood, long ago before the humans took over with building a suburb, was it a peaceful place, were Verne and his family could live in peace.
Ozzie were a male possum, and he had a daughter named Heather, and Ozzie he entertained his family with his skills of acting, storytelling and singing.
Verne and his family did not know that the peace in the a wood disturbed, as the humans they decided to remove the half of the forest, and build a suburb instead, as the animals in the forest were hibernating that winter.
Slowly were a big part of the wood removed, and slowly were the houses build up in the new suburb, as citizens moved into their new home that once was a peaceful forest.
There was a female Home Owner Association President, who was named Gladys, and she lived in the suburb, and she was going to plan a 'Welcome to the Neighbourhood' party for the citizens.
Dwayne LaFontaine (Verminator), who had lived in France and later on in Canada, had moved to the new suburb, where he got a job with solving animal problems.
RJ he had seen many of these so called Verminators on his travels, and he could not stand to see how he sat up the traps, and how they got used, so he had often nightmares about them.
Tiger the bossy Persian cat had lived with his gang that were his family in Iran once, until he got moved to the suburb.
Verne and his family they woke up from their hibernation in the wood an early morning, and they thought it would be another lovely day, but then were they going to notice the half of the forest was gone, and a long hedge was sat up.
