    lol, how cute.

The most influential and successful band ever is The Beatles, that's for sure.

Other very influential bands that I think are the best: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Velvet Underground, U2, Nirvana, Queen

I agree with Sum 41, Green Day, Foo Fighters and The Clash. A LOT! Some of the best bands ever.

I think Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake are great too. the Offspring are decent ^ ^

Not sure about the best band, there's too many great bands that deserve a title like that. Still, Reel Big Fish are my favourite, but not the best..

I like heavy heavy low low alot. I doubt alot of other people could stand it though.

I like KIRINJI and BeForU but that is just my oppinion.

IMO, one of the best bands are probably the Eagles even though they're not really a band anymore.
Then there was this other band... I think it was from the 60s and it was this really beautiful deep music that was much orchestrated, but a lot was guitar and they had really beautiful songs. They mixed symphony with rock and they could really write songs! Their songs were true poetry..... Too bad I cant remember their name XP Maybe someone here will know what band I'm talking about
But the title of "best band" has nothing to do with favorites for me. It's more of a rank in music and the quality of music. The Eagles had incredible guitar music and some of the best riffs I've ever heard in my life.
If only music was like that today, I doubt any band could pull off another In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. *sigh*

Personally, I like Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Less Than Jake, Mad Caddies, The Ramones, and Rancid.

Nirvana, a best-ever band? Hahaha. I like them, but talking about QUALITY music, The Beatles, like Niko said, have been the most influential band ever since the day they began playing, until now.
There are so many great bands that it's almost impossible to choose one. The golden ages of music were the 60's and 70's mostly, along with a bit of the eighties, and some bands I can remember are:

Eagles. Kansas, Supertramp, Heart, Yes, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Doors, Pink Floyd, I could go on and on...

I like Foolhouse/Fullhouse/Rainheart or whatever they call themselves. Also like Phenomena, Europe, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Black Mages, UFO, Scorpions, Nightwish, Prism, Dokken and others.
A like Matthew Wilder-Break My Stride and Genesis-Land of Confusion from the 80's.

There's no such thing as the "best" in art, because art is a substance that can be defined purely from perspective.
