So some of you might recognize the title from

(Well, I'm a kid so don't complain)
Anyway, here's the question:
Would You Rather Hurt the Ones You Love?
or Befriend the Ones You Hate?

I would rather get to be friends with those i hate...that way I can understand the way they act so that i wont have to hate them anymore...

I'd rather try to be friends. I wouldn't want to do anything to hurt people I love.

I'd be friends with my enemies... even if they do suck alot. Though on the other hand... if I did hurt my friends it would give me an excuse to stop being friends with them. Only the annoying ones though. XD

Befriend my enemies. To me, it would be so much easier. I'm usually not a hurtful person, and I really don't want to hurt the people I care about. Also, I think I should be nice to everyone, even if I hate them.

Hmm, yeah befriend my enemies. I hate hurting the people I love. I hate some people too but I'd rather make friends with them than the other option. I'm kinda nice to everyone too though, even the ones I don't really like.

There's an old proverb about knowing thy enemy (not to be confused with the Jesus one about "loving" thy enemy, which is just pointless and unrealistic), but I believe it goes something like this:

"It is better to stay with the enemy you know than the enemy you don't."

And this holds true; there is no justice or reward in hurting the ones you love, but if you befriend and know your enemy... you automatically have the upper hand.

Of course, to completely contradict myself, there's another, equally true, proverb I just remembered:

"Tell nothing to thy friend that thy enemy may not know."

... this may be the birth of psychological paranoia. :P

There's another saying, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Yes, it can be interpreted in different ways, but I would hate to hurt my friends unless it was the only way to help them, so I'd rather make new ones than hurt the ones I have.
