4th Gen best starter to chose

im getting pearl/diamond soon. what would be the best starter that would bring the most succes?

"Bring most success?" What do you mean by that? Infernape is the most useful due to its great movepool and speed.

Choose Piplup ;) Trust me he is just great, cool evolutions, great varity of attacks, the best starter to choose if ya wanna beat the League easly, and cute too :) most ppl choose him, but its your decision .

I chose piplup too :)
I was actually lucky enough to get a female one so now I have 2 piplups :)

but it's your choice in the end.

I chose Turtwig. Why? Because it has awesome attacks, and Torterra just kicks ass! But seriously... Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup are all equal.
Doesn't matter. Even you choose a bad starter, breed it, then pop it in the GTS (in jubilife) and in 24 hours you'll have a new starter

Infernape is the best for me. At the begining of game, it really hard to find fire pokemon.
