What names for Pokemon do you think would be better than their names? I think Porygon 2 should've been called Poryhedron.

Yeah Porygon 2 was a bad idea

Most of them are well suited

Chansie - Mere (french for mum)

Porygon was a really bad name so is Munchlax. They should've stayed with Gonbe.

I really don't care for the name muchlax either

To date, the only English name that I didn't like and I had a better name was Sableye. I think something like Gemineye would've been a bit better for its double meaning gem-in-eye for obvious reasons and a misspelling of the mystical gemini zodiac sign to depict his mystical type alignment...

I dont think it was a bad name, It was not very origional thoagh, they just changed snor, which stood for the fact he sleeps a lot, and replaced it with munch, to stand for the face he weats a lot, LOL!

I have always really loved the name of pidgeotto,, gengar was pretty good too, but I didnt really like scisor, i think, scyscissors would have been good

I don't really care for Lugia and Ho-oh's names... I think they would have been better if they had kept the spanish thing going for them as well, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres. What about quatro and sinco? Or any of the rest? I just think they could have kept the theme going...

well technecily ho-oh was related to the legendary dogs remember the story morty or eusine can't remember told ash ho-oh created the legendary dog but lugia was linked to the other three legendary birds so they coyld of called him *monquatros
    *(monsoon+quatroas=monquatros)

But Lugia and Ho-oh are legendary birds too!! All I'm saying is that Lugia and Ho-oh should have had something in common with their names... Similar to, but doesn't have to be exact, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres...

Articuno, Zapdos & Moltres were a trio of birds. Ho-Oh & Lugia aren't part of the trio, so they don't have spanish numbers in their names.

Jynx is fine with me,when pronounce it,seems like speel...but smoochum i dun like it.....

I agree on the Porygon 2 thing...what a dumb name. XD Anyways, I think the Hitmon's could have had better names. XD I mean, sure they're all related and whatnot, but HitmonCHAN and HitmonLEE are just names of some Japanese ninja dudes. XD
