3rd Gen Blocked rooms

    In fire red there is an old lady on island 7 with a room in her house blocked off by boxes
    In emerald&ruby in mossdeep there is an old man who says his only joy is "watching young trainers battle" and he has a locked room....

    Has anyone goten into these rooms, or do you have theories on what these people do?
     
    No, nobody has. Even if you use the "walk through walls" cheat, you can't go in. There is nothing there. Many people think it was going to be an event that Nintendo never used.

    They're actually Mystery Gift rooms. For FrLg, hook up your wireless adapter, and occasionally, you might be able to use Mystery Gift to receive data that opens up the back room where you can battle random trainers. There's a similar concept in the Mossdeep house, but I think you use the eReader to do it (the way you did in Ruby and Sapphire), not the wireless adapter.

    And yes, people have done this, particularly with eReader for the RS version of the Mossdeep house (which is easier to open up, I think).

    The E-reader stuff was only for R/S IIRC.

    Because... I wouldn't exactly call it a "Mystery Gift room" like Jax Malcolm did seeing as all I've ever been able to do is play games via wireless adapter.
    Of course... this could differ in R/S.

    In FR/LG, the equivalent to this house is the one on Two Island (for the same activities). I haven't been able to get into the Seven Island one though... D:

    Exactly. This is no mystery. Jax Malcolm is the only one, who`s right. Others please don`t write stupid things.

    I DID THIS BY USING HACKING TOOL ADVANCE MAP

    OK THIS WAT HAPPEND YOU WALT THROW THE DOOR AND YOU WILL SEE A EMPTY ROOM WITH A GUY IN THE MIDDLE THEN YOU TALK TO HIM AND THEN THE GAME FREEZES
    AND THATS WAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ENTER THE BLOCKED OFF DOOR

    Seriously. Stop it. It's annoying. Anyway, I think I'm really going to open the game in Advance Map and see what happens. According to me, such a map won't even exist in the game. At least, in the English one. Maybe if I find the Japanese rom...

    Yes, that would be my video, or some variation on it. Using advancemap, I removed the boxes so that I could use the warp. Archie's trainer index is 0, as is the ?'s. Thus, that is what is encountered.
    To my knowledge, the e-Reader trainer concept is unused in the North American versions of the games, however, if they did work, you basically connect the e-Reader to your game and transfer new trainers to the game. Then, the boxes are removed.

    no, I'm not, you think I'm stupid or something... I haven't looked on my emerald for the room but i have found it on ruby and fire red... The house is there i think (gba batteries dead)
