it wasnt 100% banned. they still air it on cartoon network, just very rarely tho.

Um...that episode was NEVER banned...it was another one around there (involving a beauty contest) that was banned.

Anyway, I can't help- answer the question since I don't have Boomerang or whatever. Why would they be airing such old episodes in the first place though?

Because CN doesn't have the time on the schedule to post the older episodes as they always want new, new, new. Or possibly the rights issue as that's always in play from time to time. Of course, the episode was banned in a post 9/11 world with Kids WB, but eventually business became usual again. That's just my theory.

Not a problem. Boomerang is a digital cable channel from Cartoon Network where they show the cartoons that they used to show on their channel. Many of the cartoon shorts from MGM & Warner Brothers studios as well as the Hanna/Barbara TV library is available. Recent shows such as Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited and Duck Dogers are being shown. Although I could do without Baby Loony Tunes. :cheeky:
