buying a DS just for pokemon

    is that a bad idea? I'm trying to decide over a PSP and a DS and the only reason I want a DS is for Pokemon, I didn't see any other cool games for it, so I'm just asking for your opinions.
     
    i was asking the same auestion too but i bought a ds and there are also a few good games foe ds such as final fantasy,naruto those are my two favourit beside pokemon
     
    This shouldnt go here but DS! U can get Metroid Prime Hunters. Animal Crossing, any Mario game, and all pokemon!

    Well heck.I bought my DS Just because I wanted to play pokemon and I have no regrets about it.you just gotta ask yourself do you think that pokemon D/p will be more fun to play then any psp game that comes to your mind

    well my dad wants me to get a PSP because hes gonna get one too, but I've played my friends, and the games aren't that fun. isn't a DS cheaper too?
     
    Yep, a DS is around $140 in total (with taxes). And I think the DS has by far a better game line-up than the PSP. There's a lot of good RPG's on the DS and some good Mario games as well. I say go for the DS ;D
     
    I got y DS solel for pokemon and since then I've only bought Digimon Dusk as well, t cost me 146.83 I think tax included which is still cheeper than the PSP was at the time, Ds is also more durable I've dropped mine 4 or 5 times with pokemon in it and it's still fine, try that with a psp
     
    There are tons of good games for the Ds other than pokemon - like Mario and racing and stuff. Go eith the Ds, definately.
     
    I wouldnt buy a ds just for pokemon, but that said, it outclasses the PSP. DS's are just plan fun :)

    The pokemon RPG's are certainly a system seller for me, if it weren't for them, i probably wouldn't even own one or use it much. Almost no other DS games i have have as much appeal as Pokemon does.
     
    DS, my cuz has a PSP, and the games take about 5 minutes to load...

    On manual setting, a DS can load its game immediately, and the title credits are the only things that can take a while to load the actual game.

    Ds defiantly is better
     
    Kingdom Hearts BBS is coming for PSP.

    I say to get a DS. There are lots of other cool games for it, like Digimon Dawn and Dusk, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 64 DS, and, uh, Animal Crossing Wild World.
    If you enjoy Pokemon, you might enjoy some of those games.
    The PSP might have better graphics, but the DS has better gameplay. imo

    However, it all depends on your thoughts in the long run. :)
    Maybe your dad will give you the PSP, too.
