is there any pokemon that can learn calm mind + batton pass that has a fair defense (both special and physical)

i was thinking maybe a calm mind celebi EV trained in sp defence defence and the remaining into HP

Espeon might be pretty good... It has good Sp. Atk and Sp. Def, and is also pretty fast. It should be able to get a few hits in before passing.

ill give it a look, i have plenty of eevees :P

you see my idea is this

calm mind a few times, b/p into my alakazam..... it knows thunder punch, ice punch, fire punch, physcic (i would have liked recover, but it got traded to me without it... lol)

and then because of the calm mind, i have a pretty deadly alakazam, and fairly unpredictable, and covers a LOT of differant types

    A) Espeon is a very good CM passer
    B) Punch moves are physical, so they suck on alakazam. Unless this is 3rd gen, which makes this in the wrong forum.

    auwww lol. xD

that kinda sucks then lol. i wasnt aware of that... things like fire punch i would have thought were special. i mean a physical fire type move wth? then again it makes sense.

    /bye bye moveset

Erm, you are punching them. It's kinda obvious :|

    yea xD!

i was thinking type based, fire, electric, and ice are all special types.

i wasnt thinking along the lines of which moves actually "make physical contact" with the opponent xD

For CM Passing, Celebi is a great choice.

With max HP IV/252 HP EVs, it can make Substitutes that Blissey cannot break, which makes setting up even easier.

Yeah they changed it so each move was given physical/special status during 4th gen depending on whether it involved physical contact or not. That set you said would have been fine in emerald, but not DP. I cant remember the standard off the top of my head, ask in the "Request an individual moveset" thread in the S&M.
