Can someone help me remember these books?

    They were part of the books I read way back in 6th grade, and its been bugging me that I can't remember what they were.

    One was about a rescued Falcon, and should be popular enough to know what it is.

    One was about some man from present day, but for some reason gets transported to this more primal world, with hunters/spears, weird creatures, red grass.

    Thanks in advance, they've just been bugging me for years that I can't remember, lol!
     
    unfortunately I've got nothing. ): do you remember any other details? I mean I don't think I've read any books with those premises but maybe I could identify something if you remember anything else about them.
     
    I'm not entirely sure but the book about being transported to a primal world with red grass sounds like The Transall Saga to me. I can't be sure though but it sounds pretty similar.

    As for the one about the falcon, I have no idea, sorry! >~<

    Thank you both for you reply. The Transall saga could be it, though its been so long I only remember very vague detals. The one about the falcon may be a hawk or other type of bird. It was based off a true story, and the man lived in the woods if thats any help.
     
    Mention of a falcon and someone living in the woods immediately made me think of My Side of the Mountain. Not entirely sure if that's the book you're thinking of though, since it's a pet falcon in that case instead of rescue falcon, and it's not based on a true story.

    (Although the sequel to that did have him going about trying to rescue that falcon, so.)
