Can't download the new MSN messenger

Well, the new messenger came a few months(?) ago, and my mom didn't want use to download it... So now when we want to, it wont...

We click on "Download new messenger" or whatever on the old one, and it goes through, then it rolls back, ending the installation and deleting all the stuff that was supposed to be installed... We've tried using the one from their site, but it won't get past the instillation SETUP... >.>

Any ideas?

gonna need to know what version of Windows you are running, how much Harddrive space is left and what type of internet connection you have.
