    How do you pronounce caramel? I pronounce it just the way it sounds, caramel. Why do you people skip the second 'a'? XD

    I pronounce it care-uh-mel.

    I pronounce caramel with the second "a," just how it should be pronounced. I don't really know why people pronounce it with a silent "a."

    I skip the second "a". Don't know why, I just do.

    I've opened dictionary.com to check pronunciation so many times over the past few days. o_O;

    Anyway, both are correct, but I use 'caramel;' that is to say, I always pronounce the second A. It just sounds odd to me without it. However... I suppose it might depend on the way it was said... *knows she's going to ramble if she lets herself continue, so shuts up* XD;

    I say "Caramel".

    I don't know why but i just do.XD

    Ca-ruh-mel.
    How it's supposed to be pronounced.

    yeah thats how i pronounce it exept i miss the e at the end :D ca (like cat) ru (like run) ml (i skip the e) but its basicly the same, its just because i say it fast :P

    I live in hillbilly country so I was brought up to say carmel, and even though I try to say caramel now that I know it's correct, I usually accidentally say carmel -_-;

    Reminds me of how people pronounce Almond. Some say All-Mond or Al(e)-Mond. (w/e x_x, I say Ale-Mond) That's another topic though. ^_^
    I always liked to say Caramel. From the 1st day I tried some to now, that's how I say it.
