First, do you have a bank account?
Do you usually carry cash around, or are all (or at least, 3/4ths of your purchases) all on your card - assuming you have one? Why do you prefer this?

I have a bank account; I have bills to pay and it's a lot easier with a bank account. I usually carry a debit card so I don't have to carry around bills and change, but I buy groceries on payday in cash because my paycheck takes a day or so to clear and sometimes I wouldn't have enough in the account to cover it. So I just take out cash to solve that problem.

I don't have a bank account, and don't plan on getting one. I have a prepaid GreenDot card which I use for online purchases only, everything else is cash for me.

I have three bank accounts, two debit cards and a Paypal, and I manage all of them online. I use my main debit card for almost everything. I almost never have cash around because I don't really like carrying too much cash, putting it back in my wallet, splitting bills or having to carry loose change and things like that. Also the bank closes early and I'm rarely out that early. xDD I've never use credit. The advantage being I don't have to worry about interest biting me in the ass; the detriment being I won't have good credit.

I like to pay in cash. I do that whenever possible, with my debit card as a back up. My credit card (which I rarely ever actually carry on me) is used usually for larger purchases (but living at home, I haven't really had to do that) or online purchases.

I have a bank account and some investments.

I have a bank account. Disability check is auto-deposited every month, and all of my bills are automatically drafted out when they are due. Life is easy as far as that goes.

I do have a bank account. When I get my weekly allowance, I send that money there and only withdraw when I really need to buy something.

I have a bank account and usually I just take money from the card since it's easier than getting the money out beforehand. :( HOWEVER, for purchases of less than $50 I use cash, which was demonstrated today!!

I've had a bank account since I was 13 when my granddad use to send me cheques for my birthday every year. Since then it's been changed so I have a debit card to go with it but that's about it.
I don't really like using my card or account because it means I'll end up spending all my money online on stupid things. I've also been wary about using my account since the bank suspended my account because I was actually spending money.

I only recently opened one as in the past few months. I just put all my money in and never take it out unless I absolutely need to. I really cannot stand spending my own money so as soon as I get money I go to the bank right away and deposit it. Best time of the month is at the very end when my bank statement comes in the mail and I see how much interest I have collected AYAYAY

I've had a bank account since I was like 5 or 6 years old - my parents made me one when my mother's father died because he left me a little bit of money and they wanted it to accumulate interest rather than just sit there, useless. I was always awesome at saving my pocket money but I always loved the feeling of having a stack of cash in my money box at all times so the only time I ever used my bank account was when my mother absolutely insisted that I put some money in there lol. I hated it because my bank account seemed so inaccessible to me and I much preferred having my money where I could see it.

These days it's a lot different. I never carry cash on me. Just about every transaction I do is on my card because I have no use for cash unless I'm going to a place which is cash-only, in which case I go to an ATM and get just enough for what I need lol.

Yeah I gots a bank account.

As ze Ovalord, I gotta be rollin' in lotsa dough so mah wallet is full of the good stuff. Payin' by cash makes me feel like a baws though sumtimes I do whip out le card. Typin' liek dis make me feel so gangsta yah.

I've got a bank account (well, credit union account to be technical) and a debit card, but I prefer having cash on me for those small things that only cost $1.39 or whatever. It just seems silly to use a card for something so small. I also like to limit myself with cash so I don't overspend. If I look and see I only have $20 on me then I'll think twice about lots of small purchases.

I have a bank account that I actually switched to another bank recently because my old one wanted to start slapping me with a monthly fee after 11 years of free checking (Don't bank with Wells Fargo; they're that "old" bank that wants to rip me off now). I've got a free account with a local bank now, as well as a Paypal and a debit card.

I prefer using my debit card to make purchases rather than cash. I keep very little cash on me, in fact.

I have a nice amount of bank accounts (don't ask XD), although I always carry cash on me (up to €20- it's not like I'm going to need any more for my usual endeavours). Usually, I only use my cards for internet shopping, or to get money from ATM's (and then I return them to safety). I only carry cards on myself when I'm on holidays, it's much safter than having a bunch of huge notes in your wallet.

I've had a bank account in my name since I was born, but I didn't get my first card until I was 13. It was a Visa Electron cashcard and, while they don't exist in many jurisdictions any more, it allowed me to deposit money into an account and withdraw it from an ATM; I couldn't use the card directly in purchases, but I was still happy. That got upgraded to a Debit card when I was 16, and then I got a credit card - never been used! - to go with it when I turned 18. For the most part, I use my Debit card for everything: even piddly purchases like buying milk from the supermarket. Living in a large city, nearly everywhere takes card, so I'm not worse off. Also, if I have cash, I feel strangely obligated to spend it all straight away, so the card is a very good way of curbing my occasionally excessive spending habits.

You should start using your credit card Cat Dog and try to build up a good credit history. A good credit history is better than having no history at all and it will make it easier to get loans from the bank etc.
