Catching old Pokemon in Pokemon Colloseum

My friend said that if you have Pokemon colloseum you are going
to be able to catch old Pokemon like charmander and send them
to your Ruby or Sapphire game

No not R/B/Y pok?mon only G/S/C pokemon like quagsire nad lugia ho-oh and stuff like that snubull and other things.

Yes, it?s the GSC ones. To get the RBY Pok?mon, you must trade with Fire Red and Leaf Green.

This hasn't been clarified yet. But most likey because with cheat devices you can all of them. I like collecting Unown. lol

is this is the reason because Gamefreak co. had not come out with the 3rd part to the R/S because they were busy with the adv. version of R/B. then that coool 8)!!
