If you celebrate Christmas or a similar holiday, have you finished shopping for gifts yet?

For the first time I did my shopping online. Still went out searching, but didn't buy anything. It was just easier finding things through online stores.

I haven't finished yet!! My plan is to get the last things tomorrow.

i get gifts for my man but i otherwise don't believe in indulging into the commercial spirit like that
chocolates, intentionally shite gifts and otherwise funny or lowkey gifts for everyone else - i've done a couple of big gift sessions but entirely of my own whim rather than giving in to some obligation

max has got his gift sorted, and i'm gonna do a shopping run tomorrow for the rest i think

I finished a few days ago. I only bought for 4 of my friends, my mom, sister, & husband. It was a very small Christmas from me this year as I'm saving to move on top of get some car repairs.

I got the last of mine done last Wednesday. Normally I buy everything online, although I was evenly split between online and in stores this year, which is unusual. It just worked out that way - I was in Asda and I saw some things, checked the prices against those online, and there wasn't a difference, so I grabbed them there. I don't have many people to buy for, though - my parents, brother, grandparents, and my partner. That's it.

I just have to buy cards for people and stick some cash in them. I've had people complain about the gifts I've bought them before (apparently giving people AA batteries, Mountain Dew, paper towels, and windshield wiper blades for Christmas isn't "keeping with the spirit") so I just go with money/gift cards now.

everything pretty much came from etsy or amazon

i wish all of it came from etsy because i love buying people personalized handmade things but LOL money

We usually have a small celebration, but don't do gift-giving much anymore. Everyone is too busy and exhausted with work to be wanting to worry about what to buy people haha (introverted family). Maybe I'll offer to buy mom some home or cooking supplies, but usually no one from my family ever seems to want anything and actively go out of their way to remind me not to buy since they'd feel guilty otherwise. ):

This year it'll be a meal with family and the bf, who I've bought things for already. Paid for our coming trip's many travel costs for him as a gift (our Airbnb, flights to and from Canada, hotel, and VIA Rail tickets). Also bought a 256gb microSD card which I'll give to him when he comes on Friday. Was thinking a better phone as well since his is old and clunky....but we'll see if we find anything decent that's not overly expensive, since he doesn't want a high-end phone.

Christmas is a big deal in my family with holiday parties with games feasting and lots of gift-giving and decorating. My cousin's getting a cash envelope in a card. I thought about buying her a more presenty present, but she I think can put the cash to better use to help pay for school right now. One lucky aunt will get a delicious gourmet fruitcake from the local chocolate factory I ordered. The other aunt who is a fan of classic movies is getting an Elizabeth Taylor DVD box set with memorabilia. My dad gets a handsome, handcarved panther figurine for his office desk--he likes the movie black panther, and keeps images of wild cats all around. He just so happens to be a year of the tiger. My mom is always the most demanding because she has expensive tastes and asks for specific items she finds in catalogs. This year she wanted a big, green area rug for her sun porch. My dog gets a jumbo lambchop toy. My cat has an automatic laser light pointer to chase around when he walks by.

I am resigned to an empty wallet once all my bills are paid. C'est la vie.

I did most of my shopping on Black Friday (because we can't resist a good deal!) I LOVE Christmas shopping! I definitely like to spoil my loved ones, I went a little overboard for sure. For my mother, I got some candles, two fabulous novels, a quaint little Christmas mug, and bubble bath. I bought my sister a few face masks, perfume, earrings, and a Morphe eyeshadow palette. Last but not least, I bought my best friend a cashmere sweater, a candle, and a few bath bombs! I still have to find something for my father, although I have no clue what he wants.

I'm going to be the debbie downer per say by saying that Mom passed away about 2 months ago so I'm not all that into the Christmas spirit. I'm getting 2 gifts and that's it both for friends that have helped me a ton. I need to be saving money to help with the bills so I can't be spending a ton on everyone.

With my backyard wedding coming up next Halloween, we're saving all of our money, so no Christmas gifts this year! :P Typically, I like to get a few small things online and make a Christmas dinner, though.

I have a bit more shopping to do. I never know what to get anyone so once again I am scrambling for ideas at the last minute lol
