4th Gen Cloning - beneficial, or a pain?

    Hi, i've started this thread to see what people think about cloning. I personally are both. Yes, you can clone a pokémon, but.. what if it goes wrong? I currently have 2 level 100 abras at the moment lol. What do you think of cloning?
     
    umm.. well i clonned a zigzagoon once to test it out
    and it worked
    i was all happy and wanted to clone my events to get more through trading
    and its not working anymore
    i think this is how it works :
    the games on ds save 2 files, one is a backup, so if one if corrupt
    it loads the other and makes a new backup of the ucorrupt one
     
    Its both. Its not majorly cheating as its merely expoiting a glitch in the game. The clone is not illegal, its just got a twin :)
     
    Cloning pokemon is same thing as counterfeiting just about. Major inflation...
     
    I love it when my Gold Version fails because I clone a Gameshark made Mewtwo! Cloning is cool, especially if you get a Blaziken with 999 in all stats:D! Just don't use 'em in Wi-Fi battles.

    Says two really new members who don't even have an Avatar or Signature Yet.

    I'm okay with it. I AR Clone, because I don't want to lose my Events via Wi-Fi. Also, Alot of people who run large trade threads AR Clone or have a Friend AR Clone for them. I can actually name a few besides myself.
     
    I think cloning is useful in a moderate and logical way...
    Like, you've just bred an awesome Bagon with 31 IVs in speed and attack... How much time will it takes to get another one by breeding when you already spent 2 months to breed it ?!

    Just clone it, and you can get yourself as many setup as you want with it ;)
     
    the way of cloning takes to long and you have a chance of losing your pokemon i liked the clonong way in gold silver and crystal it was simple and quick

    The GTS cloning trick is not risky as long as you know what you are doing. I have done it many times and, now I've adjusted when I turn off my DS by looking at the lights on my router, I can get it to work 80% of the time.
     
    AR Cloning takes about 2-4 Seconds to do. Cuts my clients waiting time drastically u.u

    OMG. If you go on the GTS website you'll realise why asking for a Lv100 Pidgey will allow you to succesfully clone the pokemon. No-one has it up for trade so that's the risk factor gone. As for the actual cloning, it takes a lot longer than Emerald because you can only clone 1 pokemon at a time.
