4th Gen Cloning Glitch

    Hey guys, just reporting something weird that happened to me the other day. I was trading my 10 ANIV Charizard with some bloke for his pokebox swabu on wifi, when suddenly an error message came up just before the final stages of the trade had completed.

    It booted both myself and himself out of wifi to the waiting place, so we instantly started trading again. Low and behold I still had my charizard in the same place, but he also had a charizard in place of his swablu. So I didn't get my trade and he lost his pokemon. :(

    I got swablu now though. Any thoughts on the matter?
    Has this every happened to you?
     
    This is actually a glitched abused by many. Weird that you just stumbled upon it. There's also a guide on gamefaqs.com on how to accurately perforrm this glitch. I haven't tried it myself though in fear of losing one of my pokemon.

    How is it a "glitch" i don't really call turning your game off in the middle of trade and getting your pokemon 2x a glitch.
     
    i know good and well of what you speak of. its a glitch that's been around a lot longer than you think, too. used to clone Pokémon on Red and Blue with that "glitch". you have to shut off at just the right time in just the right way, and *poof* you have a cloned Pokémon. lol
     
    Ya Glitches are good and werid. One minute your trading like gible for a dratini and then you have both but he doesn't have a single one.
