Hey! I'm Cobalt36, new to the forums, and my first post is a fanfic! So sit back, relax, and check it out, PLEASE!!! Here it is:

    Characters (Main):
Cobalt: A 15 year old, literally yellow-haired boy from Hearthome, Sinnoh. He has beaten all 4 regions, and became the champion of each, but he is bored out of his mind. That is, until he catches an ad during his favorite PokeSoap…

Amythest: A 16 year old Girl, also from Hearthome. She takes pride in ripped denim attire and her misspelled name. She and Cobalt always race to be a region's champion, but she hasn't won yet. That is, until she catches an ad during her favorite PokeSoap…

Fantina: The Hearthome Gym Leader, and technically Professor. She gives each 10 year old trainer his or her 1st pokemon. She is also Amythest's Godmother and lets her and Cobalt be trainers in her gym for practice.
    Viv: *coming soon*

    Chapter 1:
    Cobalt and Amythest

"Yawnnnnnnnn…" said a voice from under black and purple sheets. A thin, feminine arm stretched out from underneath, latching on a shelf to pull the attached body out. The girl sat up in her bed, long purple hair flowing down her back. She looked up and screamed as a Spiritomb met her face and laughed.

"What the HELL?!" Amythest yelled. "Wait, COBALT!!!"

Outside the bedroom, the Spiritomb floated to a nearby tree where a young blond boy sat laughing and stroking his long hair.
"Ah, the sweet sound of a successful morning! Nice work, ST!!!" Cobalt said as the Spiritomb was sent back into its pokeball.
Back in her bedroom in the Hearthome City Gym, Amythest returned from a steamy shower in a purple and black towel, and sat next to the window.

"*sigh* It sure has been a long road, eh Cobalt? So many memories…" She said to herself. Little did she know, Cobalt was thinking the same thing. The two remembered the day they met.

It was a bright day when Amythest moved to Hearthome. Her parents had died in some bizarre flood in Hoenn and she came to live with her Godmother, the city Gym Leader. She was an unusual girl, always wearing ripped denim jackets and jeans. The population thought she was an evil punk. So did Cobalt. But he couldn't account for her beauty, because she had a lot. Even at eight years old, he felt like he was already in love.

She arrived at Fantina's door, the usual sliding doors to a gym, when he came running. Ironically, today was the day Fantina was to show the younger children her Gym, in preparation for the day they would challenge her. And Amythest was there, too. Cobalt had burst at high-speed to the Gym, anxious and nervous at the same time.

"What the?"Amythest said as she saw the blond boy rushing to her. "AHHHH!!!"
Cobalt tripped on grey tail and crashed on top of Amythest. Their lips met.

"Ugh, watch where you're going, moron!" she said.

"Gee, sorry. I uh, kinda tripped on that sleeping Cranidos and… CRANIDOS?!" exclaimed Cobalt.

The rest of the day was a blur. The two remembered how Fantina fought the Cranidos with a Drifblim, her signature pokemon, and won. But even with the rocky first impression, Cobalt and Amythest grew to like each other, and the kiss may have played a part. She told him about how her parents named her Amythest, because her mother loved unusual names while her dad wanted something short and sweet. They settled on a misspelling of amethyst, so her dad could call her Amy. She also said why she moved, and nearly cried saying her parents died. Cobalt showed her around to cheer her up, and the city folk grew accustomed to her; she actually was very sweet, yet forceful.

"Ah, good times…" sighed Cobalt, "Well; I'd better hit the Gym."

But going to the Gym wasn't too smart. Amythest left him dodging bullets, literally, as her Venusaur used a very violent Bullet Seed.

    Chapter 2:
    Cobalt and the Eito Experience

The day after Cobalt pulled a classic prank on Amythest was terrible. Rain poured like no tomorrow and the clouds were darker than Cobalt's black scarf that whisked back and forth in the heavy wind. Cobalt ran quickly from his home to the Gym, where he slipped in a puddle and slammed into the automatic doors.

    "Wahhhhh!!!" he yelped. CRASH!!!

Fantina and Amythest came running to the door to find Cobalt stuck to it.

"Do you suppose we let him in?" Amythest asked sarcastically. Fantina was not amused.

"Honestly, Amy? A lady should not rely on sarcasm to fix her problems!"

Cobalt was let in the Gym, where the three made their way over to kitchen in the back. Fantina, a cooking genius, whipped up a fresh batch of Apple pies, but dropped them on her dress when the teenagers ran to the popcorn and soda. Fantina knew why they were in a hurry.

"Oh my, it must be eleven thirty already. Don't you two do anything but watch General Pokemon Center?" she complained.
The two ran back into the kitchen as Fantina had bent down to retrieve her trampled pies, and knocked her face into a tray. They scurried to the couch and clicked the remote's ON button.

A bright light flashed across the screen as gold letters spelled out General Pokemon Center. An announcer's voice began to speak.

"Previously on General Pokemon Center: Ted and Jet rushed into the operating room and demanded to see Nurse Joy immediately to discuss…" the announcer trailed on until the actual show began.

About midway into the program, a brilliant red light flared across the screen. A female voice followed.
"We interrupt this regularly scheduled program for a brief announcement…"

"NOOOOOO!!!" Cobalt and Amythest cried as they were about to miss Nurse Joy perform a blood transfusion on a wounded Wingull.

"So you think you're the best of the best, am I right?" asked the voice. "You probably beat the 4 regions and are bored out of your skull, huh? WRONG!!!" A bright explosion of colors filled the screen and disappeared to reveal an islandish region none have seen before. "Welcome to Eito, the new 5th region discovered far to the north of Snowpoint City, Sinnoh. A beautiful island home to new pokemon, new trainers, and, you guessed it, NEW GYMS. The Eito Region has much to offer a trainer of amazing caliber." Pictures of Eito flashed across the screen while the voice spoke, and Cobalt and Amythest were glued to the commercial. "A once-in-a-lifetime event, you too may be capable of taking on this challenge as a 'beta tester'! Just one condition."

    "What? WHAT?" the two begged.

"You must be your region's current champion! That's right; four champs, with a Gym leader Representative of their choice, will be transported to Eito to take on the Eito League, Eito Elite 4, and the Champion of Eito!!! A transporter ship will be provided with eight luxury suites available to send you Trainers to your first stop, Frostin Town, where you will be greeted by the Region professor, ME!!! Prof. Velma Cedar!!!" A picture of the young Prof. Cedar was shown, but her half-awake appearance was incredibly different from her caffeine-powered voice. "So Champions! If you really are the best, come on down to Snowpoint in three days and take that boat!!!" The commercial ended and the credits from General Pokemon Center scrolled up the television.

The teens were in utter awe as they fell back onto the couch, ignoring the fact that they missed the end of their favorite PokeSoap. But a jolt of thought made Cobalt sit up.

"Wait, didn't we both become Champion at the exact same time do to a faulty computer?" asked Cobalt as the two remembered how the time entry was screwed up as Cynthia entered their names after she was defeated.
The two looked at each other and screamed, "NO WAY!!! I'M TOTALLY GOING!!!"

    Welcome to the forum, Cobalt!

<SARCASM>Just avoid being associated with me and you should be fine!</SARCASM>

Now on to your story. The characters seem interesting so far, and the idea of designing your own Pokémon could turn out very well. However, if you go about designing your own Pokémon, I'd be very careful. It's the kind of thing that you could mess up easily. Put in the time necessary to make sure that they are original enough, and also balanced. A mistake that people often make in that regard is making their new Pokémon insanely powerful when compared to the older ones. Make sure that some are average, and that some are appropriately weak. I wish you luck in that regard!

Now on to the literary aspects. Your writing is full of enthusiasm, and when I say that I mean that there's too much of this: "Wahhhhh!!!" "CRASH!!!" and"NO WAY!!! I'M TOTALLY GOING!!!" It usually helps to be more conservative in that regard. In cases where you would normally put a "Crash," try putting in an explanation. Example: His foot came down on the puddle, driving him forward into the door with an embarrassing cry and a loud impact. Something like that is much easier on the eyes, and it makes your writing look more professional (Someone should tell J.K. Rowling that...)

You should put spaces in between your paragraphs, and your chapters are short enough that they could probably be merged together. Keep writing, it's the best way to get better!

Okay, i'm a tad impatient and i have'nt had a reply yet, boo who. Anyway, as you can see from reading above, new region, and we'll be getting back ALOT, ALOT, and ALOT of old characters from anime and maybe, *hint* *hint*, some manga ones too!

    So, without further a-wait, ;D, Chapters 3 and 4!!!

    Chapter 3:
Cobalt and the Eito Ferry (pt 1)

The next three days, Amythest and Cobalt packed eccentrically as they rounded up clothes and chose their best pokemon to challenge the Eito League. To settle their "I'm going" argument, Fantina suggested that both go and the three resolve it at Snowpoint. She put emphasis on "three" implying that she wanted to be the Leader Rep choice.

"I still think we should have picked Volkner," Cobalt said as the three travelled to Snowpoint in a basket Fantina hung from Drifblim. "And is this basket really safe?" he whined. Amythest thought this as the perfect moment to get payback for the prank he pulled four days ago and scared him by making it look like he was going to fall out. He spent the rest of the ride huddled in a corner with his eyes shut, blaming it on vertigo.

Snow began to fall heavy as the trio descended on the Snowpoint port. Drifblim landed and the three exited the basket, and then Fantina returned it to his pokeball. When they turned around, they saw the gigantic ship gleaming in the wintery sun. Appropriately named, printed on the side were the words S.S. Atlas Cruiser. To the side were the trainers and their Leader Reps, and one of them caught Cobalt's eye.

Sabrina saw Cobalt, and ran over to him. She wrapped her arms around him and then kissed him passionately.
"Cobalt, it's been so long since I saw you!" she said when she released his mouth. She wasn't standing, rather floating in the air from psychic powers she received at birth. "I didn't realize you were the Sinnoh Champ!"

"Yeah, so…um…Oh! Fantina, Amythest, this is Sabrina. She's the-" Cobalt was cut off by a jealous Amythest.

"Yeah yeah, we know. She's the Saffron Gym Leader and once your girlfriend until you left to go to Cinnabar Island. You've said it a thousand times. Wow, Sabrina, nice short dress and ponytail. You look lovely." said Amythest.

"Hey Amy, nice tarnished clothing. It's been what, eight months, and you haven't changed a bit." Sabrina shot back.

Fantina was about to intervene when a mysterious girl floated up much like Sabrina. Her hair was a mess, she wore a headband and bad clothing, and her eyes hardly opened at all. Her mouth constantly moved, as if muttering to herself.

"Oh, and let me introduce the Kanto Champion and my apprentice, Kitka." Sabrina said. Kitka remained silent. "She doesn't talk much."

Fantina felt an odd aura from Kitka and proceeded to try to leave.

"Oh my! Well she's pretty. Say is that Jasmine from Johto? Oh Jasmine, wait up darling!" Fantina said as she ran off to meet Jasmine.

"Wow…" Sabrina said in shock. "Anyway, I'll see ya' later Cobaltie! Bye, Amythest."

As Sabrina walked off with Kitka, Amythest gave Cobalt a nasty look. She never liked Sabrina's new perky attitude. She missed the old, evil Sabrina that Amythest helped turn people into dolls. Then Cobalt came along and made her lose her inner haunt. Amythest trotted off towards Fantina and Jasmine who were talking with Jasmine's Rep trainer, Henry.

Cobalt was standing alone for five minutes wondering how he was going to survive a flirty psychic and a jealous friend together for at least two months. Then he was jumped on and fell to the ground. He got up and looked at his attackers.

"Hey, there's my man Cobalt!!! How's life been pal?" said a laughing Wattson, the Gym Leader of Mauville City in Hoenn.
"Wattson! Man, you are much too old to be doing that stuff." said Cobalt, brushing off his jeans.

"Hehe, lighten up boy! So you're the Sinnoh Rep, eh? I figured as much. Oh yeah, I'm sure you remember my Rep trainer!" Wattson answered. A girl stepped out from behind him.

"Hey Flannery! Wait, you're the new Champ?! What about the Lavaridge Gym?"

Flannery smiled, "Nice to see you too. I left it to Grandfather until I come back. He was overjoyed!"

The three began to catch up on what they've been up to over four months, and then a loud foghorn bellowed. A loudspeaker planted next to the locked entrance to the gangway of the ship spoke. The gate opened automatically.

"This is your Captain speaking. We are now boarding, but first a few instructions. When you board, you must check in at the front desk and have a room assigned. The ship will depart in a half hour, and then you may do as you please. However, lights out is at ten thirty, and all doors electrically lock then until eight a.m. tomorrow. If you aren't in your suite at that time, you WILL sleep in the hall. Please board now, and thank you."

"Well, let's get a move on!" said Wattson as he sprinted to the entrance. He fell after ten steps up the gangway, wheezing.
Cobalt met up with Fantina and Amythest, who was in a better mood after meeting Henry, and the three went to settle the room issue.

When they reached the main desk, Fantina began to speak to the room assigner. Not only did she want the best room there, she needed to settle the "I'm going" situation that started three days ago.

"Well, Fantina, all the rooms are the same, you know. As for the two champions, I'll need to discuss the issue with my superiors. Please wait a few minutes." The assigner pulled a cell phone out of his pocket and dialed for the Frostin Town Professor's lab.
"Hello, yes Professor Cedar, I'm calling with a slight issue. Yes, Sinnoh has two champions because of a faulty computer clock. Yes. Uh huh. Okay, I'll tell them. Goodbye, Professor." The assigner turned and walked back to the desk.
    "Well?" asked Fantina.

"I'm sorry, but as you know there are only eight rooms. I'm afraid that Amythest and Cobalt will be sharing their room with one another." said the assigner.

Amythest and Cobalt stared at one another and said, "Are you kidding?! NO WAY!!!"

    Chapter 4:
Cobalt and the Eito Ferry (pt 2)
The rooms on the Atlas Cruiser were very extravagant and over-decorated. Fantina was in love.

"Oh my God! Amy, dear, have you seen these gorgeous throw pillows? Cobalt, don't you just adore this gorgeous bedspread? My oh my, this room is simply-" Fantina was interrupted.

Cobalt proceeded to interrupt his Gym Leader, "Let me guess. 'Gorgeous?'" Fantina did not look pleased. She always disliked today's teens and their attitudes, one of the reasons she wanted to have Amythest live with her. She wanted to make her a "contest maiden" like herself. But most of all, Fantina hated sarcasm. Tears started to well up in her eyes.

Holding them back, she said, "Well fine then. I'll go freshen up for bed, and you to will go to your room for now." She scurried to the bathroom, about to cry.

"But, Fantina! It's only seven! What am I going to do with him for three and a half hours?" asked Amythest.

"Hey! I'm not that boring! You're just jealous of Sabrina, and why am I 'him' now?" shot Cobalt. He could tell that she hadn't gotten over the kiss Sabrina gave him. He knew this would be a long ferry ride.

"Alrighty, I'm going to go visit Henry then. You should see him and his Feraligatr! He is simply divine! Bye-bye, Cobaltie!" said Amythest. She shot Cobalt a flirtatious glare and winked as she blew a kiss. She skipped down the hall and entered a door to the left. A Noctowl greeted her and a Stantler nudged her in.

"Just great. What am I going to do for three and a half hours, by myself, on a luxury liner? Hmm…" wondered Cobalt. He remembered the brochure he got in the mail about the liner and went to his room. He reached for his suitcase and took out the brochure, which mentioned a mini-Casino on the second floor. "Oh yeah!" he cheered. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed for Wattson.

    "Hello?" asked Wattson's voice.

"Hey, Wattson? I've got an idea! You, Flannery, and me hit the Slots up on the second floor, hmm?" asked Cobalt.
"You mean this thing has a Casino?! Hehe!!!" *click* Wattson hung up on Cobalt. He slid his cell phone closed, confused. He then heard footsteps running through the hall, two pairs.

Wattson ran by Cobalt's room. "Come on boy! I'm answering your invite!" The sixty-something year old man kept sprinting. More footsteps followed form behind, much slower. Cobalt ran to the door.

He saw Flannery trying to keep up with the Mauville Gym Leader. "Hey, wait up Old Man! Oh, Cobalt. Sorry, but never say Casino near Wattson. Too much fun, too little money, eh?" she said. The two began to laugh and darted after Wattson, now desperately trying to not wheeze up the stairs.

"Oh yeah. I forgot I'm sixty-eight, hehe!" he said.

Later that evening after the Casino, Cobalt and Flannery carried Wattson on their shoulders down the hall.
"What did I tell you about making those silly bets? Seriously, a drinking contest on a rocking cruiser for someone your age? Come on now!" said Flannery, smiling. Wattson had a happy, out-of-it face. He was definitely drunk. He hiccupped when he spoke when they reached the room.

"Well, hehe, here we is! Was? Oh yeah, 'are', hehe!" Yes, he was definitely drunk. Flannery and Cobalt entered the bedroom and laid down Wattson, now rolling across the bed like a child.

"Well, its ten twenty-six and my room is half way down the hall. I'd better hurry if I don't want to stay in the hall tonight. See you, Flannery." said a shy Cobalt. He was always in a better mood when Wattson was awake and feeling young, but he was now snoring louder than a whale. He and Flannery said goodnight and had a small hug, and Cobalt went down the hall to his room. He liked to be around Flannery; she was always fiery, literally. She made him feel good when shy.

He made it to the door and attempted to open it. But it was locked. He shook the handle multiple times but the door wouldn't budge. Cobalt looked at his wrist and checked his watch.

Ten twenty-eight. He had two minutes, so why was it locked? Then he remembered.
"AMYTHEST!!!" he shouted. Footsteps sounded walking to the door.

"Yes, Cobaltie? Oh, whoopsie! I must have accidentally locked you out. Oops! Good luck pal; its ten thirty. See you in the morning. Night, Cobaltie." said Amythest as she walked away from the door. Cobalt slid to the floor.

He knew he lost to Amythest. That's what he gets for letting her go to see Henry; she wanted him to stop her. He pulled out an iPod, put in the earphones, laid down, and fell asleep to some alternative music. That night he dreamt of Sabrina and Amythest.

    And Flannery.

Edit: My bad icomeanon6!!! I wrote slow and missed your comment, which i liked alot. Oh, and don't worry, i won't associate with you <sarcasm, too>. (By the way, i love J.K., :D)

Man, your timing is just uncanny! XD

In the future, I'd wait a day or two before posting more of your story. The worst thing that can happen to a work of fiction is rushing. Take time after you write, I've heard it helps to read your work out loud to make sure it sounds right.

Okay, My first review will be over chapters one and two. Before I make any other comments on it, I will say that you need to make it longer. Also, posting each chapter in their own posts makes it cleaner. That said, on to the reviewing.

Chapter 1: Cobalt and Amythest (Many writers introduce a chapter this way. It makes it easier to read and is less likely to confuse the reader.)

"What the hell?!" (the question mark/exclamation point emphasize the surprise well enough. No need to capitalize hell.)Amythest yelled. "Wait, COBALT!!!" (I guess it could be appropriate here though.)

Outside the bedroom, the Spiritomb floated to a nearby tree where a young blond boy sat laughing and stroking his long hair. (This paragraph could use some revision/addition of length. It is far too short as it is and sounds slightly awkward.)

"Ah, the sweet sound of a successful morning! Nice work, ST!!!" Cobalt said as the Spiritomb was sent back into its Pokeball. (Pokeball should be capitalized.)

(Add some separation here or use a better transition.)

Back in her bedroom (at) the Hearthome City Gym, Amythest returned from a steamy shower in a purple and black towel, and sat next to the window. (More detail. Body language, thoughts, etc. would help here.)

(She sighed as she stared out the window.) "*sigh* (Get rid of the sigh.)It sure has been a long road, eh Cobalt? So many memories…" She said to herself. (Make this more of a thought. Thoughts are generally italicized with no quotation marks. A monologue really isn't necessary here.) Little did she know, Cobalt was thinking the same thing. The two remembered the day they met.

It was a bright day when Amythest moved to Hearthome. Her parents had died in some bizarre flood in Hoenn and she came to live with her Godmother, the city Gym Leader. She was an unusual girl, always wearing ripped denim jackets and jeans. The (town) thought she was an evil punk. (Why would they think she was evil? What has she done that was so evil? Seems to be an unnecessary adjective.) So did Cobalt. But he couldn't account for her beauty, because she had a lot. Even at eight years old, he felt like he was already in love. (Even though this is a fair amount of description, you could go more in depth with how he feels about her. Maybe you could list the qualities she has that he adores.)

(Again, a little more, perhaps enough to form two separate paragraphs, would have sufficed.)

"What the?"Amythest said as she saw the blond boy rushing to her. "AHHHH!!!" Cobalt tripped on (a) gray tail and crashed on top of Amythest. Their lips met. (More here as well. You could describe his embarrassment when their lips touched, and the annoyed expression she would undoubtedly have.) "Ugh, watch where you're going, moron!" she said.

"Gee, sorry. I(,) uh, kinda tripped on that sleeping Cranidos and… CRANIDOS?!" exclaimed Cobalt. (Give more description of how shocked he was when he noticed what he had tripped over.)

(Don't shorten up what happened in the gym. This could make your chapter longer than you originally made it. Also, turn this into multiple paragraphs, each with mountains of detail. That will help your reader understand Amythest's past better.)

"Ah, good times…" sighed Cobalt, "Well; I'd better hit the Gym." (Pretty quick transition there. You should work more on that, maybe describing how he pulled out of his trance and realized what he was really there to do.)

But going to the Gym wasn't too smart. Amythest left him dodging bullets, literally, as her Venusaur used a very violent Bullet Seed. (That's the end of chapter one? Pretty abrupt. You should end with something a little calmer, since this doesn't quite count as a climax. Play around with the end a little bit until you find something that works well.)

Chapter 2: Cobalt and the Eito Experience (Same as previous chapter heading.)

(Need to revise some of this. The first sentence was weak, and the rest of the paragraph was sort of shaky.)

"Wahhhhh!!!" he yelped (as he slid across the pavement). CRASH!!! (If you are going to place something dramatic, such as the sound of an explosion or, in this case, a crash, then bold the sound.)

Fantina and Amythest came running to the door to find Cobalt stuck to it. (More detail...)

"Do you suppose we let him in?" Amythest asked sarcastically. Fantina was not amused.

"Honestly, Amy? A lady should not rely on sarcasm to fix her problems!" (Fantina said crossly.)

(Are you serious? That is a pretty bad pun right there. And why, why would you reference a Soap Opera?)

"We interrupt this regularly scheduled program for a brief announcement…" (Yay!)

"NOOOOOO!!!" Cobalt and Amythest cried as they were about to miss Nurse Joy perform a blood transfusion on a wounded Wingull. (...Why?...)

"So you think you're the best of the best, am I right?" asked the voice. "You probably beat the 4 regions and are bored out of your skull, huh? WRONG!!!" A bright explosion of colors filled the screen and disappeared to reveal an islandish region (neither had) seen before. "Welcome to Eito, the new (delete "new") 5th region discovered far to the north of Snowpoint City, Sinnoh. "A once-in-a-lifetime event, you(,) too(,) may be capable of taking on this challenge as a 'beta(-)tester'! Just one condition." (Say something like "the voice trailed off" here or something)

(The best part of any soap opera: the credits lol.)

I'M TOTALLY GOING!!!" (This is the way a chapter ends. Good ending here.)

Okay, you need to work on description, and there was some pretty weak dialog in some spots, but for the most parts it is alright. One thing I stress, though, is the detail. Everything else will sort itself out over time, but the detail is sometimes the hardest part to figure out. Just experiment a little bit and do what you think is best.

Well, sheesh! That hurt man...*gets band-aid*...okay, i'll try to make them longer and definetly use tons of more detail. I'm a little sad, though. I haven't used alot of detail because 2 of my English teachers have said i use to much!!! :D Oh well, thanks anyway...

Getting beyond that, as i said, i have 6 chapters finished. I'll start with the detail at 7. I'll only post 1 chapter instead of two from now on so i don't have to rush. Chapters will probably usually be put up over the weekends for now because of projects for school and family stuff.

    So, here's 5.
btw: I used General Pokemon Center to mock the obsession over ridiculous and repetitive Soap Operas.

    Chapter 5:

Cobalt and the Eito Ferry (pt 3)

Cobalt did not wake up the way he planned the following morning. It's not that he doesn't like being slammed from behind with a door or anything, but Amythest knew how to hurt someone.

"Holy Crap!!!" said Cobalt as the door knocked him to the floor, his head slamming into the metal door-stopper. Getting up, "Good God Amythest, wasn't my sleeping in the hall enough? …OWWWW!!!" he shouted rubbing his head. Just then Fantina's door swung open and slamed into him from behind, again.

    "Ahhh… morning…" said the Gym Leader, half-awake.

"Well it was enough, until I saw that, you klutz! Ha, let's see how much Sabrina loves you with a bleeding forehead." said Amythest. Unfortunately for Cobalt, Amythest was a morning person. "I think I'll go freshen up for Henry…" she said as she walked back into her room. Fantina stood at her door, lost in the conversation.

Cobalt turned to her and said, "You know Fantina, I bet Amythest would love your help getting pretty for Henry…" She glared at him and got a big smile on her face.

"Oh yes, darling, you're right! Amy-dear, here! Let me help with that hair! No don't wear that you need to…" trailed on Fantina as Cobalt eased the door shut. He smirked.

"One-one now, baby! See ya' on deck!" said Cobalt softly as he ran up the stairs to the deck. He stopped dead in his tracks. Kitka stood before him, floating still, and glared him down with her partially-open eyes. She kept muttering. He could now feel what Fantina felt the first time they met; something wasn't right. All of a sudden, he felt himself falling backward, down the cold metal stairs. He collapsed and passed out.

Cobalt awoke three hours later to a Marill using a water gun on his face. At least, he hoped it was water gun. He sat up and found himself on the top deck, another boy standing over him. He was probably 17 and wore beach-wear. Henry laughed in Cobalt's face.

"Hahaha. So, this is the legendary Cobalt. The 'Champion of Champions,' was that how the news put it? So the world Champ faints at the sight of women, I'll remember that." said Henry rudely. His brown hair whisked back and forth in the sea breeze. The Johto trainer returned his Marill to its Net Ball.

"Yeah, you sure are funny. I see why Amythest's gaga over you. Anyway, what time is it?"

The beach bum looked at his PokeDex. "Eleven o' three, loser. We get to Frostin in twenty-seven minutes."

"What?! God, I've got to pack!" said Cobalt as he ran back to the hull. Halfway down the stairs he heard Henry's voice.

"Oh, and Amythest and I do have a date Friday, Cobaltie." mocked the Johto Rep. Cobalt's face turned bright red.

She wouldn't…She can't actually like him...No freakin' way! He thought as he ran to his room. On the way he passed Wattson, now sober.

Smiling as always, "Hey boy, great time last night, eh? Hehe, woo, I slept like an angel. How 'bout you?"

"Sorry Wattson," said Cobalt as he ran backwards trying to talk, "I've got to hurry! We'll talk later!"

Wattson, confused, kept walking. Cobalt made it to the room, and Amythest was inside crying.

"Amythest? What the hell are you crying for?" asked Cobalt, now distracted by his friend's tears.

"I can't stand it," she said, removing her hands form her face, "Look at me! I'm hideous!"

When she stood up she showed that she was in one of Fantina's long gowns, sparkling, and had her hair tied in four long ponytails. Cobalt burst laughing.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I was looking for Amythest, Fantina!!!" he laughed. "But seriously, Amythest, we can fix this up. Come here."
He dragged her to the corner of the room and shut the door. Over in Fantina's bag, he found a pair of scissors and went wild. He and Amythest cut and cut the dress until it was attractive. When they finished, Amythest wore a top that tied in the back, strapless, and had a matching miniskirt and high socks. She redid her hair to normal, long with a bandanna tied on top.

"Now you look, uh…wow…" stuttered Cobalt. Even now that the dress was ruined, his best friend never looked hotter to him. "Oh CRAP!!!" he said, remembering he had to pack.

"Oh, don't worry. I packed for you while tears flailed from my eyes. So I really look good?" she replied.
    "God yes."

"Great. Well, got to go. Fantina and I meeting, oh, Henry. Bye Cobalt." Said Amythest as she waved bye and left the room. Cobalt fell to the bed. So she really did like that fool. That was just what he needed. Especially now he made her look hot for Henry.

"Well then, Henry-boy, you and I are rivals." Cobalt said to himself.

When he was almost to the stairs, bag-over-shoulder, the loudspeakers rang.

"Hello, this is your Captain speaking. We thank you for riding the S.S. Atlas Cruiser again. We have successfully reached our destination, Frostin Town. You may depart now. Thank you again, and Bon Voyage."

Cobalt grew a smile and ran up the stairs to the deck. He saw Amythest and Henry walking hand-in-hand and darted for the stairs. He didn't care that they got off first. When the two did get down, Amythest went to Fantina and Henry to Jasmine.
Cobalt made it off the boat and dropped his bag. He reached for an Ultra Ball and a white light blasted from it. The crowd welcoming the Champions turned around with the Champions and their Gym Leaders. An Empoleon stood in front of Cobalt, barely taller.

"Hey Henry! You and me, three-on-three here and now." said Cobalt. The crowd began to mutter.

"Well, we did have a horrible first impression, newbie. Okay, let's." replied Henry. He reached for a Master Ball and tossed it. When the yellow light dissipated, everyone gasped.

Before Henry stood Raikou, the Legendary Thunder Beast of Johto.

Okay, wow...Now i am sad. I really did not like being pushed back to page 2 on the forum. That is so depressing...anyway, i'm working on 7, but here is 6.
    But, 2 things:
yes, i know that i need to get in a lot more battles; trust me folks, i know you want them and they're comin'
when chapter 7 comes, please do not mock the pokedex. i tried to make this modernized according to the usual 15 year old, 'K?

    Chapter 6:

    Cobalt and the Frostin Port

"What…the…Hell…" gasped Cobalt as the Yellow tiger glared at him. He knew Henry must have been good to take his Champion title, but why did he have a Raikou, or worse, the Raikou?

"You see, Cobaltie, I am better than you! Water conducts electricity, and Empoleon can't K-O a legend. I've won already." claimed a cocky Henry.

Cobalt reached his hand for a black Luxury Ball and shouted "Alright then, Empoleon, come on ba-" But he was too late. Henry had already made his move.

"Raikou, Thunder Trap!!!" he shouted. Raikou's mouth opened as a wave of yellow electricity blast out. It latched around the ground Empoleon stood on, and it gave and icy cry. Empoleon was paralyzed.

"Why won't you come back? What did you do, Henry?!" shouted Cobalt.

"Hmph. You don't even know common electric moves? How sad, Sinnoh-boy. Not only is Empoleon paralyzed, but you can't withdraw it. Oh and, Thunder Lock!!!" Henry said.

Another set of volts shot from Raikou and latched on two of Cobalt's PokeBalls. Ironically, both were Cobalt's Legendaries.

"What now?" he asked. "Don't tell me you locked my Legendaries!"

"You bet I did. It's my combo technique. I distract a confident trainer, make his pokemon immobile, and prevent his destroying me!!! Now to finish it. Raikou, Thun-Li Cloud!!!" Raikou's mouth shot a deafening cry towards the Frostin sky, and black clouds formed. When the gaggle of on-lookers uncovered their ears from the moan, they had to cover their eyes. Raikou was glowing with bright yellow electricity. "An attack we made ourselves; Thun-Li is short for Thunder-Lightning. And now, it will rain."

Henry was right. It suddenly began to downpour, and Cobalt watched as the lightning around Empoleon jolted constantly, causing it great pain. But the rain also fueled Raikou's power ten-fold and the crowd began to make way up the sandy hill and into the shack houses.

As they ran, Amythest looked back and whispered, "Please Cobalt …win…" She turned and ran into a straw hut.

Back in front of the Atlas Cruiser, the fight between Cobalt and Henry kept up. Henry's tactics kept Cobalt on his toes, but luckily Cobalt had a Full Heal status healer with him. Empoleon could now dodge, but could not be withdrawn still. The Rain fell harder and Raikou grew brighter. The electricity flowed harsher as well.

"Keep it up Cobalt. You can't dodge forever. Empoleon is weak already from that paralysis; it can't fight forever, either." said Henry, who looked bored.

"Oh really? Well then, I wouldn't want to disappoint you. Empoleon, Surfing time, NOW!!!" shouted Cobalt. Henry looked stunned. He had no clue, but he should have realized earlier. Cobalt wasn't dodging out of desperation; he dodged to bide time and let enough rain fall. His Surf technique proved superior, as Cobalt also used his access to the ocean. A giant wave sprung from under Empoleon, which was riding its stomach on top. It rode the wave for about five seconds, and sent it crashing onto Raikou. It attempted to run, but it slipped on its rain puddles. As the Surf crashed, the electricity surrounding Raikou conducted with the water, releasing a gigantic Sonic Boom. The townsfolk hiding indoors covered their eyes and ears from the intensity of the thundering wave.

The clouds cleared up, and Raikou was nowhere to be seen. Cobalt guessed the Henry withdrew it right before or right after the wave hit it. Henry stood away from Cobalt, his held to the ground. A tear dropped from his cheek.

"Wow; you know, I have never been beaten so bitterly. It tastes so awful. I'm done; sorry, but we'll fight again later. Oh, and you can keep Amythest. She was too flirty anyways," began Henry. Cobalt could tell that he was severely distressed with his loss by his cracking voice. "I'm off to the Professor's Lab. I hear that the first three Champions there get a starter pokemon. Do me a favor; if you want me as your rival, get there second. I want to see you suffer by my hands at our next battle. Later." He threw another Master Ball and a mysterious white light released a blurry pokemon. Cobalt couldn't tell what it was because it used Flash as soon as it was sent out. Jasmine ran out of a hut soon after.

"Well, you have improved a lot since our battle. See you around." She threw a Pokeball and rode after Henry on a Steelix. When she and Henry were out of sight, people ran out the shacks and congratulated Cobalt on his victory as he returned Empoleon to its respective ball. He ran through the crowd and made his way to Amythest and Fantina. Amythest looked upset but put on a false smile.

"Cobalt, that was amazing. I can't believe you pulled off that move. The last time I saw you use that was Hoenn, when you fought Juan." she said.

"Yeah, I know, but we have to hurry. Henry said that Prof. Cedar was only giving her starters to the first three Champions there. He left already. We've got to go." he shouted. Then he whispered to Amythest as Fantina sent out three Driflooms, "Hey, are you alright?"

"Come on." she replied as she smiled, slapped his stomach, and got on her Drifloom. He smirked.

Yeah, she never liked him. He thought. Same old Amythest. He got on his own, and the three sped on at top-speed towards the Lab. The others stood and wondered what the rush was.

About five minutes later, the trio arrived at the Frostin Pokemon Lab. Fantina retrieved her Driflooms and sent them back to their Pokeballs. When the tree turned around, they gasped.

Before them stood a beautiful, white building, with a riverboat wheel on the side taking in stream water. In front, though, laid a sleeping Professor Cedar. She snored loudly.

The three looked at each other. Fantina then said, "Um, I'd hate to say it, but maybe one of us should make her some, eww, coffee." She hissed at the word "coffee." It was another something up on the list of what Fantina hates. Luckily, the Lab doors were unlocked, and they walked in. Amythest and Cobalt carried in Cedar and set her on a sofa. The inside was equally as nice as the outside.

Amythest made the coffee; Vanilla Hazelnut, her specialty. She carried the pot over and poured some into a mug.

"What about cream?" asked Cobalt. Amythest shook her head no. She did not want her specialty's recipe to be tampered with. Cobalt held up the scientist's head, and Amythest fed her the drink. Cedar's eyes bulged open wide. She jumped up off the couch, toppling the two teens over.

"Wow!!! Gee, thank you so, so, so much for that boost!!! Woo, is it me or is it hot in here?! Wee!!!" said Cedar as she spun into the kitchen, or rather, bounced into the kitchen.

"WHAAAA!!!" shouted Fantina. A loud clang came from the kitchen. When they got up, the two ran to the kitchen.

Cedar stood over a fallen Fantina, apologizing rapidly.

"Oh Gosh!!! Gee, I'm sorry, Miss. I'm so, so, so clumsy sometimes. I can be a tad jittery and hyper. Oops…" she said as she looked down. The teens looked at each other and began to laugh obnoxiously. Fantina lifted her face up from a pan of smashed apple pies, now with it all over her face and clothes.

"CAN'T I EVER MAKE A FRIGGIN' PIE THAT I DON'T EVER FRIGGIN' FALL IN!?!?!?" she shouted, very un-Fantina-ishly.

Hi everyone! sorry about being so late to all my fans, if any, out there! I have been really busy lately but i still manage to post more chapters. So look out, because some new things will be revealed in 7, and it's long enough too! SO grab some popcorn, things are gonna start to "heat up."

    Chapter 7:

    Cobalt and the Ocean's Queen

Fantina still had a very aghast expression on her face as the professor helped her up. The group made their way to a blue armchair in the living room and Fantina sat down. She had just finished wiping pie smear off of her face when she said, "So, you're the professor, eh?" It was the first time in her life she had used sarcasm and she liked it very much. That is, until Cedar didn't notice.

"Oh, why yes I am! Thank you for noticing. Is it cold in here? Should I turn the heat up? How about some coffee?" the professor said rapidly.

"No, we are fine. But you can get some Tylenol for my headache you over-hyper-son-of-a-" Fantina said, but she stopped short when Cobalt sent her a what-are you-doing glance. "What I mean is, we are very fine, thank you. So, um, Cedar was it? I believe you have something for Cobalt and Amythest, here?" She acknowledged the two trainers. Both could tell her first impression of the professor was none-too-pleasant.

"Oh, well I do believe you are right! But, I can't give them anything yet. My assistant, Professor Pine, has not yet returned from her trip to the market." The four then hear the door open, as if on cue. "Well, I just don't believe it! She's back!"

"Good afternoon professor. Here are those coffee grinds you wanted." said Pine, a very gorgeous girl with wavy green hair. She wore a white lab coat, much like her superior, with a sky-blue tank top underneath. "Oh, where are my manners? Hi, I'm Carrie Pine, Assistant to Professor Cedar. It is nice to meet you; I suppose you are trainers?" She spoke with a very proper, rich accent.

Amythest eyeballed Cobalt, who was staring at the girl's very bright-green eyes. Now she was jealous. "Yes, we are. We came to get our starters."

"Oh, that can wait, wait, wait!" began Cedar, again. "You see, Carrie here, she is the youngest girl to ever become an assistant! She is so very close to becoming a full-fledged professor, and at only eighteen, no less!" Cobalt's mouth dropped.
Now he was way out of his league, and he beat many of those. Amythest looked satisfied, and Fantina persisted.
"Oh, well that is just dandy! Now, about those starters,"

Cedar sprang up off a nearby sofa that she sat on literally twenty seconds ago. She ran over to a glass door, which slid open, and she walked inside. Everyone looked at one another, highly confused, when her head popped from inside. "Coming, anyone?" she shouted. The three helped up Fantina and went into the door, which led to a surprisingly high-tech lab. Computers and machines covered the walls, and Cedar was rummaging in a cardboard box.

"Hmmm, now where on Earth is it? No, no, no, no, needed that two days ago, no, no, no," she muttered as her hands rapidly shuffled through the box. Cobalt began to walk over for help when Cedar jolted up. "Yay, yay, yay! Lookie, I found them!" she shouted in a childish voice. Cobalt was flung backward when she spun around. She opened her hands and revealed two tiny Pokeballs. Fantina and Pine looked shocked.

They said at once, "You mean you keep your Pokemon in a box?!" Cedar smiled and nodded as she dashed to a table.

"Well, here's what is left! We have Dropleel, the Eel pokemon, and Searaptor, the Dinosaur pokemon. I had a Vinado, but a boy came by for it. Anyway, take your pick, both of you." Cedar now had a more serious expression on her face. They supposed that when it came to pokemon, she fulfilled her duties as a professor. On the table was a small blue-tinted clear eel coiled up in adorable fashion, and a tiny red raptor with a flame pattern going from its forehead to tail.

"Well, I have been taking the water types, so I'll take Dropleel, I guess." said Cobalt as he reached for its Pokeball. The baby eel smiled and leaped into his arms unexpectedly, which caught Cobalt off guard. He stumbled but was able to get the sea snake into its ball.

"Okay, well I have been taking the 'burners,' so the Searaptor is with me. Come here cutie." replied Amythest as her raptor gave a pleased, courageous look. It seemed to be very determined to please her, and it willing went into its Pokeball. When Amythest went to put it away, Cedar snatched the ball from her hands.

"You two will not require these anymore. Cobalt, please hand over yours as well. I suppose you can too, Miss Fantina." said the professor. The trio handed over all of their Pokeballs and Cedar placed them on a long table. "Now, I suppose you all have some form of iPod, correct?"

The two teenagers took out their iPods, a Video and a Nano Video, and placed them next to the Pokeballs. Fantina did nothing.
"I don't have one. All the electronics I have, it's only this cell phone. Will that do?" she asked. Cedar nodded and Fantina placed the phone next to the MP3s.

"Here in the Eito Region, we rely hugely on technology. Bags and maps, even Pokeballs are obsolete. Allow me to give you the new Pokedex, Capture system, map, and communication device all in one. We call it the iDex. If you will give me a moment, I will convert your devices to these and you can be on your way." Pine showed the three to the door, and they sat in the waiting area.

"Well, she may be crazy, but she makes Rowan look like a just a student in skill." said Cobalt, watching the bright blue lights coming the lab from inside. It was about ten minutes before the two professors returned from the lab. In Cedar's hands, were a dark purple Nano Video, a black Video, and a bright purple cell phone, all of which looked uber-tech now.

"Well, I suppose you can tell whose is whose, so come and get them." After each received their iDexes, Pine showed them to the door. "I hope you all do well here in the Eito League. Your first gym is at the island directly West of Frostin. Good lu-…" she began, but then dropped to floor, asleep. The coffee had finally worn off.

Pine looked like she saw it coming, and turned to speak with the trio. "Okay, here." She handed Fantina a strip of paper. "Take this note to the wooden dock just north of here. My uncle, Aldridge Pine, he owns a ferry service. Tell him I sent you and give him this. He will take you to your next stop, Icecoral Island."

"Sweet. This is gonna be great; we've been here for two hours and already we'll get our badges, eh Amythest?" boasted Cobalt. Pine shook her head. Umm, actually, you won't. You see, the leader, Rosée, she is also a renowned performer. She has a show this evening, and the rest of the week, so you have to wait. I'm sorry but I must attend to Professor Cedar. I wish you the best of luck, goodbye."

The three left the lab and hopped back onto the Drifloons that Fantina finally was able to release from her phone. Surprisingly for their size, the pokemon were able to carry the three through the forest for an impressive long time very quickly. Fantina should have been a trainer and not a contester with her abilities.

After about twelve minutes, they arrived at the dock, which looked like it wasn't used in a while. Cobalt supposed that the whole "technological advancements" speech that Cedar made was true; no one used old boats either. They got off their balloon pokemon and went to knock on the door. It was opened and they were greeted be a hefty man in a sea-captain uniform.

"Blimy, I've not had a soul up in for a long while. What can ol' Captain Pine do thee for, maities?" The captain spoke with a cliché pirate-accent while a pipe was apparently glued to his teeth. Amythest handed him the ticket cautiously. "Well I'll be, you met me niece, Carrie. Nice girl she be. So she sent me a couple of hungry, umm, trainers? Coordinators? Breeders?"

"We're trainers. So you run this dock? It's so old." said Amythest.

"Argh, that I do Missy. But that be a tale for another day. Now, I suppose ye be going to Icecoral Island? Find city they have there, yes they do. Well, let's not waist a moment of your battling hearts! Now we shove off!" The captain seemed very excited to have another set of sailors come to him, and his ferry was too by how fast she was. She was a sleek white motorhouse, equip with a kitchen and everything. Fantina had brought a bikini and lay out on deck to tan, while Cobalt and Amythest were at the rear watching the waves ripple from the boat's speed.

"So, you excited? I mean, we will finally have a challenge to face that won't end in a minute. Just like how easy our own Sinnoh Gym Leaders had become to beat when we went to challenge them again to practice, you remember?" asked Cobalt.

Amythest smiled, "Yeah, we were quite the team, weren't we? That is, until we hit Saffron in Kanto, right lover-boy?" she teased. "I hope this will at least be a fun two months. Hey, maybe we could catch that performance Rosée does? Might be cool…"

"It might, but I really want to fight. My badge case is starving, it hasn't been used in so long." When he finished his sentence, Aldridge Pine turned to them from the upper level.

"Hey, you two, tell your friend that we will be arriving at the port in a few minutes, okay? I'd do it, but I best keep my mitts on the wheel, or we plunge into the sea!" He seemed very cheery with the thought of being engulfed by waves leading to a watery demise. The teens went and woke up Fantina. They looked at each other in hysteria as the saw her back didn't tan. It burned badly.

They arrived at a wooden port towards the back of the island. The three got off and waved to Captain Pine. As he waved he mentioned, "If any of y'all need a lift, just say the word. I'm sure my niece programmed my number into them iDexes y'all got! Best be headin' back to Frostin, so be seeing y'all around!" And with that he sailed off.

They were a tad confused with the terrain since the Captain dropped them off behind a giant mountain, and hiked around for a bit of time before finally arriving at the city. It was beautiful; snow had topped each house and fell gracefully, and people along the streets wore short clothing. It was probably best too; for some odd reason, it was not cold. Cobalt took off his black scarf and Amythest removed her purple jacket as they made their way to a Pokemon Center. They found one, and went inside in hoping that they could lodge there for the evening.

Nurse Joy was attending to a young man with a pokemon that appeared to be a blue echidna with a yellow lightning bolt down its spine. Fantina walked over to her.

"Ah, you must be Nurse Joy. I'm-" she began.

"Oh my! You're that renowned coordinator Fantina Greyheart! You won last year's Master-rank competition at the Grande Festival! It is an honor to meet you. What can I help you with?" Joy seemed to be very overbearing. It was even scarier that she knew Fantina's last name, which she never told anyone. She may have enjoyed being an idol to many, but she hated association with the Greyhearts, who were an infamous smuggling family in the 1920s back when Hearthome was founded.

"Well actually, we were wondering if any rooms were available upstairs for us. You see these two are-" Fantina was cut off again.

"Oh! You must be the Champions of Sinnoh, Cobalt and Amythest! I was granted word that you'd be arriving for the League, so I had a room made up for you all. Stay as long as you need." With that, Joy walked into a back room, quite possibly a surgery office, and closed the door.

When she was sure they had left, she took off her pink wig to reveal dirty blonde hair and held up her wrist. She spoke into a small wristwatch softly. "They've arrived. Mission accomplished. Over and out."

Up on the mountain, three women, maybe eighteen each, stood watching Fantina, Amythest, and Cobalt walk towards the Icecoral Stadium. "Understood. Targets in sight. Nice work. Over and out." She turned to her comrades and spoke. "Tomorrow's the day, ladies." They walked down the other side of the mountain and disappeared into the icy fog.

Back down the mountain, Amythest and Cobalt were paying for tickets. "Are you sure you don't want to come, Fantina?" asked Amythest.

"Honey, I'd love to see such a performance more than the both of you, but I'm starting to, ow, feel that side effects of that tan I tried to get, OW!" she yelped as Fantina massaged her back. "You two have fun; I'll watch it on the television back at the Center. Bye-bye."

"Alright, night." said Cobalt to his Gym Leader. He turned to the ticket counter. "Two for the performance, please."

"Alrighty, that's two for 'The Ocean's Queen.' That'll be twenty bucks, kid." said the man.

"Twenty?! Maybe its best she didn't come after all." he said to Amythest as they went inside. The lights were incredibly dim and finding their seats was difficult. But when they did, they were satisfied. The seats were worth Cobalt's last twenty since the Eterna Bikeshop fired him; they had a perfect view of centerstage.

The lights went completely black a few minutes later, and the audience hushed. A blue light on the stage lit up and fog began to spread throughout the arena. A girl slowly dropped from support wires to the stage. She was very pretty; short blue hair fell across her cheeks and she wore a short dress with a wave pattern across the bottom. On her wrists were two glittered gloves with and iDex on each. She danced for a while and then brought her hand together. The iDexes released two pokemon, a Glaceon and some bizarre crocodile pokemon with shards of clear ice protruding from its body. They performed attacks similar to those done in a Contest Appeal, using them to awe the audience. Mist, Ice beam, and Blizzard were used to make a large platform that Rosée danced on.

"That's it, I can't take it anymore!" whispered Cobalt as he stood up. He went into the aisle and began to run down the stairs.

"Cobalt?! Cobalt! What the hell are you doing?!" shouted Amythest who was now running after him. He finally made it out on stage and walked onto the ice platform. Amythest stayed off of it and watched.

"Exuse moi! What do you think you are doing here?! Security!" she said. Rosée had a thick French accent.

"That won't necessary Rosée. I want to battle you for your badge here and now!"
