Colored Pics/Manga Scans

The idea came to me a few weeks ago. What would you guys think about the manga scans or pictures from the manga being colored? You see I realized that there is already a wish by some fans (myself included) about wanting an anime. However since I am sure not all of us has our hopes up on that being a reality. I thought that therefore colored pics and scans would be the next closest thing. I've also recently visited photobucket and deviantart and a lot of people really have the professional touch of drawing or coloring scans.

My point here is that like on deviantart I have been looking for people who have some free time and who would accept requests for coloring scans of the mangas at the most. Since the manga links has recently been removed, I thought this would be an appropriate time.

Also I may not have the authority and stuff like that but if possible could this be made as a request thread for requesting and posting the finished products of colored scans? I am sure this is not against the rules.

Wow, that sounds like a novel idea VF, however, it may be a little difficult considering the crackdown on scans around here. There may be a solution though! I'm currently working on a little something for Poke manga enthusiasts and I think it could serve your needs quite well. If you are interested, please pm me.

I colored a scan from the Shion no Ou manga and it got removed on devART for policy violation.

Ironically, at the same time, some people post tracings and actual official images and get away with it, but for some reason, coloring lineart with my own skill and imagination is bad. =/

Hi there guys I originally made this thread for posting colored manga scans since the arts section of the forums are only pixels and stuff. Instead of letting this thread go to waste I thought of sharing the first pics I ever colored and at the same time I uploaded them on my account in deviantart. I am just an amateur so I started with something easy. I tried to make it the best it could be but I still have room for improvement.

If you think it sucks so much then you shouldn't even be here. That was my opinion at first because I never even read it and I thought the mangas of pokemon were the same as the anime but now I believe it rivals even that of naruto.

Besides have you even tried reading it? Its WAY better than that crap they call an anime. IF ONLY THE MANGA HAS BEEN TURNED INTO AN ANIME THEN LESS PEOPLE WOULD CALL IT CRAP BUT NOOOOOO.

Well done! I couldn't color a single picture. What did you use, Adobe Photoshop?

Tips:
Hmmm, I have one thing to say: Red's eyes aren't.. red =D Maybe you could try to add an eye color. (Because the eye colors are kinda important in PokeSP)

I used Paint. Actually those two pics were only my first pics ever. I tried really hard to match the colors with what the real think would have looked like. About the eyes I saw on the cover that red's eyes had a certain dash of purple while some only had a black one. I really coudn't decide and also since I couldn't color the eyes without risking ruining the pic I decided to leave it alone. But now that you mentioned it yes I could try it out but I really lack experience and I need some help. I also missed the color of the mouth, since I couldn't get the lines right. Can someone help me out? Thanks

Also there are reasons why I started with red
1. He's one of my fav characters
2. In my opinion he is the easiest to color (He appears in super smash brawl, FRLG Gba, and cover pages)

You did this in Paint? I tried using that once, but couldn't get the lines right. Now that I'm better with it, I could probably try again. ^^;
