Community bonus content?

So, I was poking around the community, and noticed that nothing like what I'm about to describe(to the best of my knowledge).

I'm an intermediate ROM hacker, recently made a Real Estate system for my Emerald ROM. Anyways I was wondering if maybe we could have a thread [Like This One] Where community users post "bonus" maps for entry or novice level hackers. For example I post up a map with a mini quest on it, or some other content, like a maze... hidden cave etc.I would most certainly be willing to contribute, but I was hoping for some input on this.

I know that there are more people, like me, that enjoy the games as they are, as well as good hacks. but for those people that are simply looking to add a little to their ROMs. I like the vanilla story for the R/S/E series, and I thoroughly enjoy the battle frontier, but I get bored with that, have trouble finding finished hacks that don't bug out and am not willing to do a ground-up hack. If you add your own content, it's not as enjoyable because you already know what's going to happen.

I'm aware that the people that would submit to this would worry about people taking their maps and adding them to their own hacks and taking credit. But simply submitting a map or two, or a mini patch that takes veteran hackers little time to make, it could even be a way to test ideas and ask criticism, but that's similar to a thread I just read. But yeah, just quick, small patches that add a good amount of gameplay to a vanilla or lightly modified ROM. Let me know on here, I just thought I would voice my idea.

    Thanks for reading,

The small events you speak of. Snippets of scripts, maybe minor maps or bonus story things like that, where beginner to intermidiate hackers can learn to do things like this. I learned rom hacking the hard way, it took me weeks, but if you post scripts and whatnot beginners can begin to see how events are reflected.

    I'm a bit confused too.

Do you mean posting teeny tiny puzzles/events as playable patches, and offer explanations and key scripts as guidance. So that people can play it, then try and understand how it works technically?

We did used to have a 'useful' scripts thread but no idea what happened to it :3

It's one thing having scripts, but being able to see them in action is another thing. I like, you get fun little quests, and we help out the newbies, it's a win win!
