Do you do what other people do, wear, say, listen to, etc.? I conform in pretty much everything except when I just want to be different to argue with someone. xD
Depends really -i wear what i want to rather than go with fashion (i'm completely avoiding the gypsy fad that seems to be around, and the 70s fad o.o; ), i listen to what i enjoy listening to (mainly rnb/hiphop/reggae/soft rock), i'm not afraid to tell someone my opinion and stand up for what i believe in, but i wouldn't go and break the law or be incredibly rude to my parents or random people i met for the sake of not conforming..that's pretty sad really when people do that ^^;
So in some aspects i'm considerate to social morals, like laws and respect, but with everything else i kinda do my own thing :3
I do what I want...and it just happens that doing what I want is the exact opposite of conformity. For example, I listen to underground/indie music. I wear pretty unusual clothes for my gender (just guess...) and I study under unusual conditions.
Although I seem to be going off topic with these examples, I do want to stress the point that conformity and me are not compatible. I sometimes do things just to be non-conformist...but usually it is just for my own benefit.
Everyone conforms to something, like it or not. You may not be conforming to the most popular style (preppy clothes, etc) but everyone conforms to something.
It's not very romantic sounding, but it's true, everyone conforms to something. I guess you could say I conform. I don't go out and buy $200 jeans (blech) but I like to stay at least somewhat trendy. JCPenny pwns...
I buy all my clothes at Hot Topic and write poetry about cutting my wrists. I am SO not a conformist.
NEVER! I never conformed back in my high school days, and although I paid the price in social reprecussions, I stood my ground and retained my own persona. And for that, I am a better person today than I would have been if things were different.
No, I don't conform. I'm my own person, and I show that through my own tastes in things. I don't care about trendyness, and I listen to whatever music I like, no matter what's "popular". It may seem like I conform in that area because I listen to alot of Top 40 stuff, but I don't care if it's on the charts or not, because I still listen to alot of stuff that isn't. The only thing you could say I conform to is the way people talk... I tend to pick up words from other people and use them myself often, thus making me conform to their speaking habits. This usually only happens with friends, though. XD

I can't really see this as a concept; most of the people who claim to be non-conformists conform to each other. Think of any way that people rebel against society and you'll see that the act of rebelling is equally as common in any circumstance as the act of not rebelling.
It's the other way around, everybody conforms to me. XD
Ehh. To be honest, I hate conformists - or anybody who lacks enough self-pride to go about acting like others, at that. You are you, not somebody else. >_>
