4th Gen corrupt pokemon pearl

    hi, a couple of days ago my pearl save file got corrupted, it said "the save file is corrupted, the previous one shall be loaded".
    it said to press up, select and b, i tried that, started a new game, saved it and...corrupt save file.
    does anybody know what's causing it/how to solve it?
     
    By the sounds of it you need to buy a new game, this sounds like full breakage rather than a glitch
     
    i doubt it, i think i may have had a corrupt pokemon ruby once, but i managed to fix it by pressin some buttons to delete the save file. hmm, i'm not sure..i don't thin it's broke though
     
    did you buy it preowned or off ebay or amazon or did you buy it at the shop because it might be fake if its from ebay or it might be broken
     
    You can't fix it... Once it gets corrupted you have to buy a new game, or just make due with what you have. One solution: You can play Pokemon pearl, and never save just leave your ds plugged into the wall every day, pulling electricity but you could never transfer pokemon from your other games like fire red leaf green so on. You would also have a problem if your mom found out that you were the one pulling that much electricity and that would not be good. So if you really want to play pokemon pearl really bad then you don't have much of a choice as to buy a new game or not. If you don't buy a new game then what pokemon games do you have and how long is it going to be before you get fed up with restarting you pokemon games over and over and over again. So you should consider those ideas from me.
     
    i'd sell the current game and then use the money i got with a little extra i could scratch up to buy a new one
