ive recently been looking up info about diamond and pearl and i came across one of the special features on the game which one of them would be co-op with wi-fi connection. i tried looking up more about it but i cant get any info on it. if anybody has the least shred of knowledge on this feature, could you tell me more about it?

i know very little about it, but apparently, like most WiFi compatible games, someone who does not have the game cartridge but has a DS can download certain parts of the game from a nearby friend to play the game together over the WiFi connection. i'm not sure how that would work with a Pokemon game considering each person has their respective data (pokemon with lvls, items, and what not), but on games like Mario Kart, the friend on the recieving end can enjoy the game with the other just for that session. it's not a permanent thing.

The co-op play, (other than battles and trading, doing contests, etc) include being able to go into the Sinnoh, underground and dig for fossils with someone. You can also have like a race type deal. I have not tried that yet however. Also like on the LG/FR games, you can know if someone else is playing when your wireless adapter was attached and the nurse in the Pkmn center picks it up, yadda yadda. Thats all I really know about. When it comes to Wifi-ing. I dont think you can DownLoad play from someone else who has a cartridge. Usually thats posted on the back of the game case, which its not on mine. BUt Im not and expert on Japanese either.
