This is my first Fanfic, so if something is lame, please tell me! I'll try to fix it ^_^

    Chapter One

A ten year old girl sat on her bed. Her cotton candy pink hair was brushed and pulled into a ponytail. "Which one should I pick?" she asked. Nearby in Littleroot lived Professor Birch, a pokemon professor who was going to give her, Crystal, her first pokemon today. Birch told her that he would have three pokemon and Crystal could choose one to have. She was imagining throwing a pokeball with her new pokemon when her mother walked in.

"Are you ready to go?" her mother asked.
    Crystal nodded, "Yep!"

She picked up her packed orange backpack. Crystal wasn't going to go to Littleroot alone, her mother and her mother's pokemon, Delcatty, were going to come too.

"Catty, De-catty?" Delcatty asked as Crystal walked into the living room.
Her mother walked in and smiled to Delcatty, "Yes, we're ready to go now."

Crystal patted the cat-like pokemon. She hoped that some day she too could have a pokemon as beautiful as her mother's Delcatty. The pokemon had a ring of purple fur around its neck, large purple ears, and a purple tuft of fur on the end of its tail. Delcatty rubbed on Crystal's leg and ran to the door.

Crystal giggled, "I think Delcatty is as excited as I am!"
Her mother nodded, "It's been a while since Delcatty has left Oldale."

Crystal couldn't stop thinking about the thought of being able to have a pokemon of her own, "Let's go before the Professor runs out of pokemon!"
Her mother laughed and opened the door.

"Catty! Catty!" Delcatty happily raced around the yard.
Crystal looked around, "I forgot which route we should take."
Her mother pointed towards Route 101, "Littleroot is that way. Delcatty, would you like to lead us?"
    "Catty!"

Delcatty led Crystal and her mother over the ledges so they wouldn't walk through tall grass. Crystal watched a trainer who was battling a Zigzagoon as they walked by. "There are alot of Zigzagoon around here. I hope one of them will battle me when I get my pokemon," Crystal said.
"Don't worry Crystal," her mother replied.

Crystal looked ahead and could see Littleroot, "I can see it from here!" She happily ran ahead with Delcatty on her heels. "Today I can finally be a pokemon trainer like my brother!"

Crystal's brother had started his pokemon journey just two years earlier and calls home about once a week. Each time he gets to tell a few of his adventures to Crystal.

Crystal slowed down and walked up to the edge of Littleroot. "Catty?" Delcatty seemed worried and sat at Crystal's feet. A woman with blue hair and a police uniform was talking to Professor Birch. Crystal could hear her mother walking up behind her.
"Mother, the professor is talking to Officer Jenny. Do you think he is okay?" Crystal asked.
Her mother frowned and walked up next to her, "I hope he is. Let's go look."

This time Crystal's mother led the way over to the professor. He frowned when he saw Crystal. "Crystal, I'm sorry. Someone has stolen the pokemon," he said.

Pretty good start. I like how Crystal's mom came with her, it's something I don't see in every story.

    Thanks! ^__^

    Chapter Two

Crystal gasped, "Professor, what are you going to do?"
Professor Birch motioned for Crystal and her mother to follow him. "Crystal, the only thing I can do is wait for Officer Jenny to find the pokemon." He led them into his lab.
Crystal walked behind the professor over to the table that used to hold the pokeballs before new trainers picked one. Professor Birch picked up a small plastic book and handed it to Crystal.
"You don't have a pokemon yet, but I'll give you a Pokedex. It can tell you what a Pokemon is if you point it at the pokemon," he said.
Crystal picked up the Pokedex, "Professor, is there anything I can do to help?"
"Search for the trainer that stole the pokemon," he said. "Though, that is Officer Jenny's job and she is already handling it." He shrugged at his own odd suggestion.
"If I had a pokemon I would go look for your pokemon, Professor," Crystal said.
Delcatty hopped away from Crystal's mother and jumped onto the table. "Catty, de-catty!" it said.
Professor Birch looked at Delcatty, "Crystal, does this pokemon obey you?"
Crystal stroked Delcatty's fur, "Yes, but it's my mother's pokemon. Why?"
"Well, I think Delcatty just had a good idea. I'm okay with it, but it has to be okay with your mother," Birch said.
    *~~~~~~*
Crystal and Delcatty walked in the long grass of Route 101. Crystal held her Pokedex in one hand, and an empty Pokeball, which is used to catch pokemon, in the other hand.
"Wow, I get to catch my first Pokemon! If it listens to me, than I can go search for the Professor's pokemon!" Crystal happily said to Delcatty.
"Catty!" it replied, before it jumped in front of Crystal and bristled it's fur.
"Delcatty?" Crystal asked, wondering what the pokemon was doing.
    "Ma-a-a?"
Delcatty stood like she was ready to pounce on something. Then something jumped out of the grass. It seemed to sparkle when it appeared and the shine soon faded. The pokemon's cotton-like fur was pink, and it had black stripes on its ears and tail - which had a glowing ball on the tip.
Crystal pointed her Pokedex at the pokemon and opened it.
"Mareep, the Wool Pokemon. Mareep's fluffy coat of wool rubs together and builds a static charge. The more static electricity is charged, the more brightly the lightbulb at the tip of its tail grows."
The Mareep listened as the Pokedex read off the description. "Ma-a-areep!" it said when the Pokedex was done.
Crystal shrugged, "The picture shows that Mareeps are supposed to be yellow, but this pink one is pretty."
    "Catty!" Delcatty said back.
    Crystal smiled, "Okay, go Delcatty!"
Delcatty looked a bit confused since she was already out. The Mareep started a tackle at Delcatty.
    "Delcatty, dodge it!"
Delcatty easily jumped to the side, and the Mareep ran past.
Crystal thought for a moment. "What are Delcatty's moves again?"
Delcatty watched the Mareep and awaited her next orders. The Mareep growled at Delcatty.
Crystal watched Delcatty become a little nervous. "Delcatty, use Attract!"
Delcatty stood up and started acting cute for the Mareep.
"Ma-a-a?" the Mareep said. The Attract didn't seem to do anything to it.
    "Delcatty, Doubleslap!"
Delcatty ran over to the Mareep and started slapping it in the face.
    "Ma-a-a-a!" The Mareep cried.
    "Delcatty, try Singing!"
The Delcatty stopped slapping and began to Sing. The Mareep tried to stay awake, but soon drifted off into sleep.
Crystal threw the Pokeball at the Mareep. In a flash the Mareep was gone and the Pokeball was moving back and forth. "Please don't break free..." Crystal whispered to herself.
The pokeball stopped moving and a dinging sound came from it. Crystal blinked as Delcatty walked over to her. "I caught I Pokemon.." Delcatty rubbed against her legs. "I caught a Pokemon!" she cheered.
    "De-catty!" Delcatty said happily.
Crystal hugged the cat-like pokemon, "Delcatty thank you!"
The pokemon pulled free and began bounding towards Littleroot. Crystal picked up the Pokeball and began to follow Delcatty back to the Professor's lab. She paused and looked back at where the battle was, "I wonder how come I've not seen a Mareep here before."

It should have more description at moment like in the battle. The plot is nice like the idea of Birch's pokemon who were stolen. But also make your chaps longer. When I am getting into the story it has already ended !

Okay, thanks Shiny May!! I'll make sure to try to fix that ^_^ I was kinda worried I was doing that, so I was already planning on trying harder on the next Chapter. So, thanks!!

Sorry I don't have the next chapter up, I'm still writing it ^.~ I'm hoping to get the storyline moving in the next one.
