    Any Batfans here?

My first exposure to Batman anything was Batman Begins (well... rather the 1960s show. Watched that a lot as a kid. But Begins was the first thing outside of that).

After watching The Dark Knight a few years back, I went and watched Batman: The Animated Series from the 90s.

Then the Arkham games came out.

I'm only just now getting into some of the comics. Trying to prep for The Dark Knight Rises this summer. It's been sketchy so far. Year One is good. Prey was good. I'm liking the early mob and cop-related stories. But the supernatural ones like Shaman or the Mad Monk, meh.... not so much.

I thought it went NaNaNaNa NaNaNaNa NaNaNaNa NaNaNaNa BATMAN!

I also saw a lot of the old campy TV show reruns which were a lot of fun. The current movies with serious!Batman are still good, but in my head I still see POW! WHAM! whenever there's a fight scene.

Batman is my favorite comic book/graphic novel character. I'm a fan of the dark comics and graphic novels myself. The campy ones? Meh... Not so much. That includes the show that ran in the 60s. Not a fan.

I LOVE the Arkham games. Just 100%'ed Arkham Asylum. Will be doing the same to Arkham City here soon. I'm also a fan of The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight. I also love the Batman movie Tim Burton did, as well as the one that had Jim Carey as the Riddler... Don't remember what it was called.

    Batman Forever?

But yeah, of the four pre-Nolan movies I think Burton's first attempt was the best

    Batman!

Oh Batman is my favorite Dc Hero. I first really got into him when I watched The Dark Knight. That's where I really got into Batman.

Then Arkam came out and I could kick Joker's tail any time there cus the game is really awesome for me.
Joker is my favorite villain btw.. Why don't we put a smile on that face?! =D

    ADAM WEST. :D

Saw a bunch of the old TV shows/movies when I was little. Didnt get the humor then, but somehow that makes it more fun to watch today. (Oh, THATS what that meant...XD)

Batman the Animated series was awesome too. And Batman Returns.
For some reason I was always intimidated by the comics.

I was first exposed to Batman when I first started going to Primary School and my dad would buy old videos of the Batman Animated Series for me which also prepared me for the Superman Animated Series and the Justice League cartoon.

A few years ago I also started watching the Super Friends just to see what it was like back in days. I've become a Batman fan to such an extent that I can no longer enjoy the Live Action movies since I just start pointing out all the mistakes in them. Seriously I don't think I've ever heard Alfred say "Master Wayne" and after hearing that Selina Kyle is using a gun in the Dark Knight Rises, I don't think I'm even going to give that try.

I'm still yet to watch the 60's version of Batman, which saddens me, because I'd really like to do that one day. However, I remember watching this as a kid, which I think paved the way for me to really start enjoying the Batman world. I started reading whatever comics I could get my hands on from about 10 years old upwards and when the first of the Nolan-Batman films came out, I was well and truly hooked. I didn't really enjoy Batman Begins very much, I remember hating the game that came out with it; but nevertheless, it paved the way for The Dark Knight and I developed a fond affection for Scarecrow anyway. Batman <3

I saw and enjoyed The Dark Knight, and I plan to see The Dark Knight Rises, but outside of that I'm not really a Batfan. I saw Batman and Robin with George Clooney as Batman and it was absolutely terrible... and I've watched a couple of episodes of the 1960s show when I was too lazy to get up and change the channel and it was quite possibly the most campy piece of garbage I've ever seen in my life (which I guess was the point, but regardless it was bad).

My best friend is obsessed with it though, particularly the characters of Robin and The Joker. She's very interested in ho yay (Google it) so Batman and Robin's relationship is of immense interest to her, as is Batman's relationship with The Joker lol

I guess I'd describe myself as a casual Batfan. I've seen a fair amount of the 60s television series, the 80s Tim Burton-Batman, Batman: The Animated Series (probs the best property, out of this puny list) and the Nolan-Batman franchise.

I guess Batman's probably my 'favourite' comic book superhero, but that's mainly because I have slim-to-none knowledge of any comic-book character who isn't ridiculously well known to a non-comics audience. I certainly don't care for Superman's righteousness, and think that Spidey should just man up and stop whining about everything. Despite the fact that Batman's this insanely rich playboy with gadgets coming out the wazoo and is essentially a glorified vigilante, it's still kinda easy to emptahise with his plight. And 'cause he's not 'super' in the traditional sense, the stakes are ever higher if he does get hurt.

Oh, and re: the title of the thread. The 'Da da da da' bit is technically true. At the end of the theme to the 60s show, the background singers would sing 'Dadadada...' I guess the 'Nanananana...' bit comes from the guitar hook that prefaces it. Have a listen below:

I forgot there was a Batman Begins game.

I would suggest reading the No Man's Land story arc, it's the one that got me really interested in the Batman world. The supernatural elements aren't too prevalent, the whole idea being that Gotham is quarantined from the outside world after a massive earthquake and Batman and his crew stay behind to protect the people that weren't able to escape before the quarantine went into effect. At one point it was going to be the next animated series, even went far as some really nice character designs, but it was dropped in the end because the concept seemed too dark for a cartoon series. (and it seems like this became the mindset after a certain executive nagged about it, Warner Brothers actually loved the idea and were getting ready to green light it)

Its on my todo list. I compiled a list of "must-reads" according to the Internet, to read by the release of TDKR. Right now I'm on Strange Apparitions

I've been going through my stash of Batman media and such in preparation for TDKR. I forgot how good the old '90's cartoon was, damn. I've already wikipedia'd the majority of the story arcs and plot motifs from the comics that will be featured in TDKR, so I'm pretty up to speed in that are too.

There were some damn good episodes in that cartoon. The Robin origin story, Mr. Freeze, the Two-Face two-parter.
