Damn You Vista! (Help me please)

Gah! I recently (As in 15 mins ago) bought a new game for the PC, specially made for Vista. It meets all the system requirments and should work perfectly. But upon loading I get the error Message. "Overlord.exe has stopped working" (The game is called Overlord by Codemasters).

Error Message "Overlord.exe has stopped working" (I can't screenshot it for some reason. I've tried to Run it as administrator and Changing the Windows Copatability and no luck. Somebody pleeaassse help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Please? :(

Contact the Game makers and notify them of the glitch.

have you updated all your drivers? your pc is obviously prebuilt and probably came with duff drivers

Nah, I contacted the Company and a guy I know who's doing a Masters' Degree in computers, It's my Graphics Card -_-

haha.. i tend to find people who claim 'a guy I know who's doing a Masters' Degree in computers' to be very wrong indeed..

but that just from my experience..

and you probably dont even have a graphics card..

i should do one of those majigers.. to clear up the things im unsure about, and clarify some things that i doubt..

everything i know about computers comes from trial and error on my own, upgrading friends etc reading magazines, forums etc..

Me too really, I only had a PC in like 2000 and I used to play around a lot more than go on the interwebs. Because of that my friends who've had PCs since like 1995 always ask me for help ^_^ Trail and Error/Messing around Rules. Anyway that's off topic and problems solved, this should be locked really ._.

meh, ive only been learning about pcs since i got broadband (may 2005?)

my pc is currently the spec of a top end pc from that time XD haha

I got my first PC in 1999, second in 2003, now my 3rd in 2007. When I got my student job at my college in 2005 is when I really started working on computers, and learning about them. When you break down a few dozen computers, you learn allot. And when you have to fix disasters the teachers with there PHD's make, it gets more interesting.

It also helps they sell the old computers. I've got like 3 in my room right now, all repaired and upgraded in some fashion. Ones my WinXP downloading machine that I spent $200+ on parts fixing before I got my gaming machine, ones my VISTA machine (All salvage parts), and ones my Linux Box (All salvage parts).

At school were not even putting Vista on a single machine yet. Still to new, and half of them couldn't handle it.

Here it's rather the fact Microsoft aren't giving DET the usual liscences for Windows.

The whole having to connect to server to finish registration is also a major pain in the butt for the staff making the images.
