So! If you were stuck on a desert island, what are the 5 main things you would have with you.

And no, you can't put down "infinity" of something. Seriously, you'll never have that much of something. :< Let's think literally here people!

Also, try and explain why you would bring your 5 main things, because it's interesting to see how other people think. :D

Okay, so the main 5 things I would bring are..

    - A Pot (To boil sea water in)
    - A swiss-army knife (To kill whatever food comes around. XD)
    - A solar power light (For light to use at night. I have no idea if they exist though. o.o)
    - A mirror
(So I have someone to talk too.. XD;)
    - Rope (If I want to make a raft or something.)

    - Machete ; It'd be useful both for killing food and defending myself. Oh, and for...cutting fruits and stuff.
    - A book that tells me which plants are safe to eat ; Seriously, how much would it suck to die because you ate a poisonous mushroom?
    - Soap ; I'd be less motivated to work on survival if I felt nasty.
    - Flint ; Fire is a must.
    - A book ; To keep me from going crazy out of boredom. xDD

    My five things would be:
    1. A fishing rod
    2. a Boat (that still works and floats with BU oars for if it runs out of gas)
    3. a mirror
    4. some sort of knife
    5. a woman!

    1. A net (to catch fish and small animals - easier than a fishing rod) 2. A knife, to skin the food/fish/make my home 3. A pile of dynamite. Just in case a plane flies by so I can signal them, or I can blow myself up if there's no chance. 4. Flint, to make fire for cooking 5. A water purifyer. What if there's no fresh water spring? Purify the seawater!

    1. My guitar - I honestly would die without being able to play it.
    2. My dog - You need a companion. Plus, I love my dog.
    3. A straight razor + strop - Counts as one thing, honest.
    4. An armchair - Yeah, they're great.
    5. My shoes - Seriously.

Machete: A MUST for all people stranded on desert islands.
Someone or something to talk to: You need to socialise, right?
    Matches: For fire and stuff.
Flare gun: For when planes soar overhead.
Bed: I AM NOT sleeping on sand.

Matches - ya need to have fire!!!XD
    Bottle - For water!
Knife - To kill wild animals
A buddy - Yep, you gotta have somebody!
My laptop - Yeah, I need it.

This should be in Other Games, should it not? Regardless, this is interesting...

I'm going to assume this island is large enough to support decent sized wildlife, since the creator of this thread is taking a means of killing animals...

    1. Remington 700 rifle.
    2. Many .30-06 Springfield rounds for the Remington 700.
    3. Bayonet for the Remington 700 (this way I effectively have a spear as opposed to a short knife that would lack reach).
    4. Something capable of filtering salt from water that doesn't require power.
    5. Last but most importantly: Ray Mears; if you don't know, he's a very knowledgeable survival expert.

Of course, I could just put "aeroplane" on the list and be away with the desert island altogether, but it'd be nice to see how survival goes...

    -A pillow
    -A Vollyball (I'll be needing a Wilson)
    -Astronaut food (ahahaha >:D )
-Army knife (I won't get picky, any kind will be fine)
    -Stationary case

    ...Anything to help myself from going insane is what I'd take ;-;

    Hm...

    A woman. XD (Just kidding.)
A bed with a pillow and a blanket.
    Food.
    Water.
    M Mom, dad, and brother.
A boat, if I travel the sea in a boat I could travel off to home.

I would take my good old black-box -flight-recorder that i keep under my pillow, i take it whenever i travel :P

    1. That good ol' Swiss Army Knife - Such a small knife could be such a life saver in these types of conditions~

    2. A blanket - Because it would get cooler at night and it's nice to have that security. :D

    3. Pots and pans - Fry up fish and the like over a nice fire. Booyah. \o/

    4. Some rope - You will never know when you will ever need rope. XD;

    5. Something to read - In case all hope is lost. Something to fall back on. :3

A Sleeping Bag - Yeah, they're better than beds. >D
    A Tent - Of course.
Flare Signal - For fire... and any airplanes who happen to fly by.
    A knife - So I can eat things. :D
    A cell phone - plz, laik i cant go w/o texxtin 4 1 day.

    ttyl.

    • A computer with internet access.
    • A mobile phone.
    • The Complete Works of William Shakesphere.
    • Jerry Springer.
    • Eddie Hobbs.
My perfectly believable list that will keep me alive on a remote desert island for decades.

Now, what I'd normally say would be "I'd just bring a cell phone and call my way out. If it didn't work, I'd just bring a boat with a GPS built in." But I'll refrain from my none-enthusiastic post and write something worth while.

    .o1 A pocket knife. Not just a regular one though; one of the epic ones with the scissors, knife, cork opener, etc. That way I could cut my hair. :33;

.o2 A mattress. That way I'd be able to move it anywhere I please on the island, without having the irritating frame to move.

.o3 A piano. Originally I thought of an ipod, but then I put some intelligent thought into it, and realized that there aren't any outlits on an island. So the piano, no matter how out of tune, won't run out of batteries, and will keep me entertained.

.o4 A basic survival book. Most unfortunately, even though I know how to build fires and shelters, I've never able to keep anything sturdy or burning. So I'd bring the book to teach me the proper way to make stuff. After I'd read the book several times, I'd turn it upside down and learn how to read in the freaky ways.

.o5 Believe it or not, a wall ball. I'd be bored of course at several points in the day, so I'd bring the ball to play a game of wall ball on a cliff rock thing (YES THERE IS A CLIFF ITS MY FRIKEN ISLAND :3).

    Yup yup.

Ok, forget the first post I made. I only need one thing:

"How to survive on a desert island", there's actually a book I found on it. XD

    Lol.

A friend. Or two. If I had to choose, I'd bring my female school friend and my boyfriend. XD
A sketchbook + a lot of pencils. My drawing hand is connected to my lungs. I stop drawing, I stop breathing. >:
Maybe a knife. I would still stick to a vegetarian lifestyle, so I wouldn't need a gun or anything. Just a knife for regular stuff. xD Meat disgusts me.
My cat. My cat is my best friend in the world, so if I lose my other two friends there I'll still have Buddy~ <:
    TOOTHBRUSH, TOOTHPASTE, ETC. yay hygiene

    Meh. XD Interesting question. Whocaresifthat'smorethanfivethingsstfu<<

    1. Reasonable amount of pens and paper - I might get bored, so at least I can write stories or something.

    2. A nice comfy pillow and blanket - No need for a bed when it can be as simple as this.

    3. Someone nice to talk to - No need to pick any person, but at least I can have someone here with me.

    4. My swords :3 - Now I can kill stuff for food.

    5. A TV + DVD player + Code Geass - I'm all set now. :D
