    "Design your own Pok?dex" competition!

(I'm allowed to make this, right?)
Hello everyone, and welcome to the "Design your own Pok?dex" competition!

Have you ever wanted to design your own Pok?dex? I have!
The way this competition works, is simple:
Whoever designs the coolest Pok?dex will have their Pok?dex featured in my game:
    "Pok?mon: Evolution of Time"!
(okay, I know it's not a big deal, and you probably don't care. if you win, you can brag, too, though. is that okay?)

    The rules are as follows:

    1.
You must use one of the templates provided.
    2.
You must not use too many fancy effects.
    3. You must submit your works via this thread.
    4. You must not submit more than 1 Pok?dex.
    5. You must not add new panels, bars, or buttons.
    6. You must not use my Pok?dex pictures (or pictures made from them) without written permission. (e-mail or PM)

Now just because you have to use of the templates, that does NOT mean that you can't change the color of the Pok?dex.
However, only Red, Green, Blue, Black, and White will be available as templates.

It is strongly advised that you use 256 colors max (to keep filesize low and such)

All work will be judged on May 20th or when 20* submissions are made.
    Whichever comes first.
(*I might raise that number if a lot of submissions come in)

That's about it for the rules, so have fun!

    Wow, much effects...
    Maybe a little too much...:paranoid:
    But I can't say I don't like it. It's very original looking!

What's wrong with being origonal?? Also you didn't get this approved by me. You must ASk Permission first....

Sorry if I sound like an idiot, but I don't know who you even are.
    Are you an admin/mod?
    Sorry about that. :nervous:
And it's not that Imakuni?'s Pok?dex isn't cool... It is!
It's just that I specified NOT to put too many special effects.
You know the ones. Like in Photoshop and Paintshop Pro.
Anyway, sorry for not asking and stuff. :'( Really sorry.

It's okay just ask next time (I am the Art Mod). But why can't people put too many special effects? It's sorta odd...

Well it's nice to meet you PSB. ^_^
Awkward introduction, but still nice to meet you. lol
The reason I say "not too many special effects" is because it clashes...
    Think of it this way...
If you had Pok?mon Red/Blue characters (old graphics) walking around in Pok?mon Ruby and Sapphire, it would really clash, right?
Well this's basically the same thing, only it's mixing 2D sprites with 3D textures.

Anyway, here's a sample Pok?dex designed by a friend of mine (Curt) and sprited by me.
It will be used in "Evolution of Time".
Just thought I'd show you all what a custom Pok?dex should normally look like. ^_^

    EDIT:
Here's some info about that particular Pok?dex (in case you care to know):
This Pok?dex is symbolic of every Pok?mon version released in North America to date.

The panels are obviously RED and BLUE.

The japanese symbols (katakana to be precise) on the tops of the panels mean "Ho" and "Ru" representing Ho-Oh and Lugia. (Ho for Ho-Oh and Ru for Lugia [in japanese, "L" is replaced with "R"])
    That symbolizes GOLD and SILVER.

The fire symbolizes RUBY (Groudon) and the water symbolizes SAPPHIRE (Kyogre).

The fire and water also represent FIRE RED and WATER BLUE (not official, but likely the American version of Leaf Green)

As for the rest of the versions...
    (GREEN, YELLOW, CRYSTAL, LEAF GREEN)
(I patiently await EMERALD, as I'm 70% sure it will exist in the near future)

There is more than enough of those colors on the buttons and screens.
