diablo 2 expansion

I actually still play D2. I got back into it when I came across a mod called 'Hell Unleashed'. It's much harder and longer than the original, centering around party play and defeating bosses one time instead of doing baal-runs for 90% of your gaming lifetime.

Defeating Baal is a feat usually requiring many lvl 90+ players at once. There are no TPs and monsters regenerate fairly quickly, so you always need someone- even for cheap shots, to be alive fighting the boss long enough for your friends to arrive and continue kicking ***. All dungeons are larger and sorceresses can't teleport through walls, giving the game a much larger adventure feel. The creator constantly takes advice for improving gameplay and making more classes viable to play, which makes it really different than battle.net.
