Hi there, My son is new to collecting and is enjoying finding out how much his cards are worth. We have quite a few doubles of cards but one of the cards is shiny. We can't seem to find any pricing information on the shiny cards. Examples are: Wingull, Slowking, cacnea, Jigglypuff, Slowpoke, Feebas and more.

Could anyone please help us find out what they're worth? Please don't ask me to go to Ebay, it was not helpful.

    TIA

The thing about Pokemon is that it isn't a collector's game, It's a player's game. Even the so-called 'rare' cards, even the foil ones, aren't worth much. Nintendo prints enough of them to make sure everyone gets the cards they need to play effectively.

The only cards in the game that are truly worth money are the extremely rare promotional cards, some of the really old school 1st edition cards, and a FEW of the more recent special cards.

But really, anything you can get in any booster pack/theme deck from the bookstore won't be worth much.

You must be talking about Reverse-Holo cards.

They're not worth much, if anything. They may be Reverse-holo, but they're still common cards. And since there's a Reverse-holo card in every pack, you start to see them a lot.
