Did anyone ever realize that the "Life, the Universe, and Everything" section had the title of a book?
I noticed right when I saw the section name.
It's one by Douglas Adams, you know, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy's Third Book.
As you can see, I'm not very active around here.

Whoops, shouldn't of gone here; my bad. Could a Mod please move this to the correct spot?

I believe this is in the correct spot XD if you meant it to be in Community Questions & Feedback it would have been closed.

But yeah, I really couldn't think of anything to do a parody of the title so this spam section kinda got stuck with the name xD

I actually thought it would go in "Other Chat", but whew, I was thinking "Uh-Oh" right after I posted when I read what this section was for, at least most of it; I then edited and added in that bit.

I like the name anyway. In my mind it's the only thing that gives the section awesomeness.

yes actually I did know that about the name of this section. More specifically the phrase "Life , The Universe, and Everything" was first used by Douglas adams as the question posed to the super computer built on Magrathia named Deep Thought. Deep Thought thought the question over for seven and a half million years only to come up with the answer 42. In responce to what the question was that gave it the answer, deep thought commissioned the Earth to be the computer needed to find the question.
All of this is explained in detail within Douglas Adams' first book in the series "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

I know all this; I've read up to half of the one this section is named after. It's really good stuff so far, pretty funny, but still has a good storyline.

    42

Anybody who's lurked long enough on the internet should be able to get the reference. Isn't this section meant for those people? :P

I read that book in ninth grade.

I can't think of anything to witty to say.

Whenever someone asks for a number, my first answer is always 42. My second answer is usually to ask if they mind if the number is OVER 9000.
