Did Pokémon Mystery Dungeon make you cry?

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, being a rather story heavy game, is bound to have its moments that are sweet, but at the same time it has those that are just insanely emotional. Most notably the end of the game in all three so far where your character drifts off and nears return to the human world, or crosses it in Explorers and Gates to Infinity, as well as other parts before then, too.

What were some of the saddest things in any Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game to you? Discuss.

I love story heavy games, but they need good plots or character development and PMD really satisfied me. If only Game Freak can learn a few stuff from them, not necessarily a tear jerker. But something like PMD? Well written? :)

The sad thing for me was Gardevoir's story and when we were fugitives from PMD. As for PMD 2 I'd say the parting with Manaphy is sad. The bitter-sweet moments belongs to the reunion at the beach near Treasure Town.

I let a tear fall down when Gengar made his confession in Red Rescue. I completely broke down after first ending in Explorers of Sky. I don't remember games making me cry but this one.

I cried when I first ended the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team! I was really crying, it was such a sad moment! I love the PMD: Blue Rescue Team and PMD: Explorer of Sky stories! There are some parts of the story that are sooooooo emotional! That's one of the reasons that I love PMD!

There were so many parts even in the Special Episodes of Sky that really got me. For one there was Igglybuff the Prodigy, right before Armaldo, Wigglytuff's old mentor, is taken from Igglybuff he admits he's an outlaw and gives him the Defend Globe. But second and even bigger was the final bit of In the Future of Darkness, which to me was one of my favorite plots of ANY Pokémon game i've played. Watching Dusknoir and Grovyle disappear and then reappear when they thought they were about to disappear, that was so good, and the final scene after you've saved Dialga was just beautiful. It's just great.

That was one of the things that PMD Sky had made it even cooler in the bigger picture.

    :'(

I never cried in a PMD game but I felt really, REALLY sad. Red Rescue Team didn't make me cry because it was my 2nd PMD game and I knew I was coming back haha.

now PMD 2 is a tough one. Saddest moment was Grovyle's Sacrifice omg ;; the music was so sad :(

tbh it still makes me a little sad how you and your partner never saw Grovyle again.

that's why Grovyle became one of my fav pokemons

I always though on PMD 2 that Grovyle was the baddy who took the time piece, but when it tried to save the human (former partner) from Dusknoir make manly tear outta me because of his sacrifice it made me crish. Though PMD one the gengar just finally confess itself and just risked himself being the bait even he is nasty though.

I came very close to crying several times during Gates To Infinity. The part where

    Spoiler:

And of course, the part where you're leaving the Pokemon world. So sad :c

Both the first one and the second one made me cry because the story was so good. Though the 3rd one made me feel sad but I didn't cry due to the fact the story in that game to me was a little weak though still good. So I have cried to this series and hopefully Super Mystery Dungeon does the same.
